雅思口試中考官性別對考生考試焦慮程度的影響

【摘要】:長久以來,考試焦慮一直困擾著諸多考生?荚嚱箲]對考生的臨場表現(xiàn)帶來負(fù)面影響,直接影響考生的考試結(jié)果。而雅思口試因其一對一交流的特性,更容易給考生帶來壓力。在考生和考官雙向交流的過程中,考官性別是影響考生考試焦慮程度的潛在因素之一。盡管雅思考試委員會已經(jīng)對考官的考場行為進(jìn)行了規(guī)范,并力圖將考官影響降至最低,但在考試環(huán)境中,考生對考官性別因素有不同的解讀,而這種解讀和其帶來的影響是無法通過考官培訓(xùn)消除的,因此,考官性別因素極有可能會對考生的考試焦慮程度產(chǎn)生影響。為探究雅思口試中,考官性別對考生考試焦慮程度的影響,及這種影響對口試成績的作用,本研究采用了定量研究的方式,通過設(shè)計(jì)考官性別量表,使用統(tǒng)計(jì)學(xué)軟件SPSS,在獨(dú)立樣本t檢驗(yàn)、描述分析、相關(guān)系數(shù)分析和二元邏輯回歸四個方面,對142名受試者進(jìn)行了研究。通過分析受試者的測試結(jié)果,并比對該結(jié)果與雅思口試的關(guān)系,本研究發(fā)現(xiàn),考官性別對考生的考試焦慮程度確實(shí)有一定影響,且這種影響主要來自于考試焦慮的社會和情感層面。另外,由考官性別激發(fā)的考試焦慮與考生的口試成績也存在較弱的相關(guān)性。這種性別激發(fā)的考試焦慮對最終口試結(jié)果的影響比重為8%。一般情況下,考生的考試焦慮程度越高,口試成績越低。因此,為營造一個更加適于考生發(fā)揮的環(huán)境,考生、考官和考試設(shè)置系統(tǒng)都應(yīng)做出相應(yīng)的努力。本研究探索了考官性別與考生考試焦慮的關(guān)系,豐富了Zeidner提出的考試焦慮模型及性別研究在口語測試領(lǐng)域的應(yīng)用,也為性別問題在測試學(xué)領(lǐng)域的研究提供了參考。同時,本研究也對雅思口試體系及口語測試的規(guī)范化提出了建議。
[Abstract]:For a long time, test anxiety has plagued many candidates. Test anxiety has a negative impact on the performance of the examinee, and directly affects the result of the examination. IELTS oral test because of its one-to-one communication characteristics, easier to bring pressure to candidates. In the process of two-way communication between examinees and examiners, examiner gender is one of the potential factors that influence test anxiety. Although the IELTS examination Board has regulated the conduct of examiners and tried to minimize the impact of examiners, in the examination environment, candidates have different interpretations of the gender factors of examiners. This interpretation and its impact can not be eliminated through the training of examiners, therefore, the gender factors of examiners are likely to have an impact on the degree of test anxiety. In order to explore the influence of examiner's gender on examinee's test anxiety and the effect of this kind of influence on oral test result, this study adopted the method of quantitative study and designed the examiner's gender scale. Using statistical software SPSS, 142 subjects were studied in four aspects: independent sample t-test, descriptive analysis, correlation coefficient analysis and binary logic regression. By analyzing the test results of the subjects and comparing the relationship between the results and the IELTS oral test, this study found that the examiner's gender does have a certain influence on the test anxiety of the examinees. And this influence mainly comes from the social and emotional aspects of test anxiety. In addition, there is a weak correlation between test anxiety and oral test scores. This gender-induced test anxiety affects the final oral test results in a proportion of 8%. Generally speaking, the higher the test anxiety, the lower the test scores. Therefore, in order to create a more suitable environment for candidates, examiners and examination setup system should make corresponding efforts. This study explores the relationship between examiner's gender and examinee's test anxiety, enriches Zeidner's test anxiety model and the application of gender research in the field of oral test, and provides a reference for the study of gender in the field of testing. At the same time, this study also puts forward some suggestions on the standardization of IELTS oral test system and oral test.
