【摘要】：本文是一篇漢譯英翻譯實踐報告,報告中的原文節(jié)選自《德宏阿昌族民間科學技術》,作者為秦瑩,云南農業(yè)大學人文學院院長。該翻譯報告中選取的翻譯部分為服飾章節(jié)(120-143頁),該章節(jié)介紹了阿昌族傳統男女服飾、配飾、銀飾及其相關制作方法和流程。由于阿昌族是云南眾多少數民族中的一個小分支,針對該民族科技文化類的書籍本不多,譯介文本則少之又少。因此對該文本的翻譯具有創(chuàng)新性。選取該文本作為翻譯報告具有文化傳承和學術研究的意義。整本書的體裁為說明文,表達方式體現為說明兼描寫,因此原文中具有大量對事實、事物的陳述和說明,例如對工藝流程的細化和說明。針對該文本的翻譯,筆者使用了尤金·奈達的功能對等理論來指導翻譯過程,即用最恰當、自然和對等的語言首先從語義其次是文體上再現源語的信息,旨在讓目標讀者更深入理解原文本所傳達的信息。其次譯者也運用了意譯、增譯、省譯、詞性轉化等翻譯方法來細化功能對等理論的使用。因此,該翻譯報告的目的在于使用功能對等理論及相關策略將源語文本中的真實意義特別是文化負載詞更準確地翻譯成英文。在該翻譯報告中,筆者以奈達的功能對等理論為支撐,采用多種翻譯策略并運用具體的實例論證了該理論在民族文化翻譯中的實用性。
[Abstract]:This paper is a practical report on C-E translation. The original excerpt from Folk Science and Technology of the Achang nationality of Dehong is written by Qin Ying, Dean of the School of Humanities, Yunnan Agricultural University. The translation section selected in the translation report is the dress chapter (120-143 pages), which introduces the traditional Achang men's and women's costumes, accessories, silver ornaments and their related production methods and processes. As the Achang is a small branch of many ethnic minorities in Yunnan, there are few books and very few translated texts on the subject of science, technology and culture of this nationality. Therefore, the translation of the text is innovative. Choosing this text as the translation report has the significance of cultural heritage and academic research. The genre of the whole book is clear and the expression is both descriptive and illustrative, so there are a lot of statements and explanations of facts and things in the original text, such as the elaboration and explanation of the technological process. In view of the translation of the text, the author uses Eugene Nida's functional equivalence theory to guide the translation process, that is to say, the most appropriate, natural and equivalent language first reproduces the source language information in terms of semantics and then stylistically. The aim is to enable the target reader to better understand the message conveyed in the original text. Secondly, translators also use some translation methods such as free translation, incremental translation, saving translation and part of speech translation to refine the use of functional equivalence theory. Therefore, the purpose of the translation report is to use functional equivalence theory and related strategies to translate the true meaning of the source text, especially the culture-loaded words, into English more accurately. In the translation report, the author uses Nida's functional equivalence theory as the support, adopts a variety of translation strategies and uses concrete examples to demonstrate the practicability of the theory in the translation of national culture.
