【摘要】：中文小說英譯中的邏輯顯化研究是一個重要課題,對翻譯實踐與翻譯教學有莫大的啟示。本文以霍譯《紅樓夢》中200個由because引導的原因狀語從句以及對應原文為研究對象,發(fā)現霍譯屬于邏輯顯化的有140處,其它為邏輯再現,邏輯顯化率高達70%。不妨假設理想情況下中文小說英譯的邏輯顯化率與英文小說漢譯的邏輯隱化率基本相當,兩者可相互印證。但以林語堂的Moment in Peking漢譯為例,發(fā)現其中含because原因狀語從句的邏輯隱化率在郁譯和張譯中分別為28%與20%,與上述假設嚴重不符,究其原因可能與翻譯中的語言遷移以及現代漢語表達本身存在邏輯顯化的趨勢等因素有關。
[Abstract]:The study of logical manifestation in English translation of Chinese novels is an important subject, which has great implications for translation practice and translation teaching. In this paper, we study the 200 adverbial clauses and corresponding original texts of the reason clause guided by because in Huo's Translation of A Dream of Red Mansions. It is found that there are 140 cases of logic manifestation in Huo's translation, and the other is logical reproduction, and the logical manifestation rate is as high as 70%. It can be assumed that the logical explicit rate of Chinese novels in English translation is basically the same as that of Chinese novels in English translation, and the two can be verified. However, taking Lin Yutang's translation of Moment in Peking into Chinese as an example, it is found that the logical implicit rate of the adverbial clause containing because causes is 28% and 20% respectively in Yu translation and Zhang translation, which is seriously inconsistent with the above hypothesis. The reasons may be related to the language transfer in translation and the tendency of logical manifestation of modern Chinese expression.
