【摘要】：本翻譯項(xiàng)目的原文約為一萬六千字,節(jié)選自《宏大印象:生命的起源,意義及宇宙本身》(The Big Picture:On the Origins of Life,Meaning and the Universe Itself)。作者用科學(xué)在本書中向讀者展示了一副令人印象深刻的宏偉畫卷,同時(shí)又從哲學(xué)的角度去思考生命的意義。本報(bào)告主要通過譯前準(zhǔn)備和案例分析的方法回顧了譯者的翻譯過程。在譯前準(zhǔn)備中,譯者通過文本分析探討了原文本的一些特點(diǎn),方便譯者更好的理解原文。然后,譯者用表格列舉了文中出現(xiàn)的一些專有名詞和術(shù)語來規(guī)范譯文,并介紹了翻譯中可能會用到的一些工具和資源,以及翻譯的重難點(diǎn)。在案例分析中,譯者首先討論了對標(biāo)題的理解和翻譯;然后,譯者通過平行文本和數(shù)據(jù)分析的方式討論了專有名詞和術(shù)語的翻譯;最后,譯者通過句法策略討論了一些長難句的翻譯。最后,譯者發(fā)現(xiàn)翻譯工作開始之前的譯前準(zhǔn)備工作可以加深譯者對原文本的理解,幫助譯者找到翻譯的重難點(diǎn)和相應(yīng)的應(yīng)對方法;翻譯完成之后的校譯對譯文質(zhì)量的提高有很大的幫助。據(jù)此,譯者總結(jié)了自己在翻譯本項(xiàng)目過程中的一些心得體會和經(jīng)驗(yàn)教訓(xùn),并為以后類似的翻譯活動提出了一些建議。這既有助于加深譯者對翻譯的認(rèn)識,也有助于提高譯者的翻譯水平。同時(shí),譯者還希望自己的研究能夠?yàn)橥愋偷姆g提供一些借鑒。
[Abstract]:"the original text of this translation project is about 16000 words, excerpted from the Great impression: the Origin, meaning, and the Universe of Life." (The Big Picture:On the Origins of Life,Meaning and the Universe Itself). The author uses science to show the reader an impressive and magnificent picture, while thinking about the meaning of life from a philosophical point of view. The present report reviews the translator's translation process through pre-translation preparation and case studies. In pre-translation preparation, the translator explores some features of the original text through text analysis to facilitate the translator's better understanding of the original text. Then, the translator lists some proper nouns and terms in the text to standardize the translation, and introduces some tools and resources that may be used in translation, as well as some important difficulties in translation. In the case study, the translator first discusses the understanding and translation of the title; then, the translator discusses the translation of proper nouns and terms through parallel text and data analysis. The translator discusses the translation of long difficult sentences through syntactic strategies. Finally, the translator finds that the pre-translation preparations before the beginning of translation work can deepen the translator's understanding of the original text and help the translator find out the important difficulties and corresponding coping methods of translation. The correction of translation after the completion of translation is of great help to the improvement of translation quality. Accordingly, the translator summarizes his own experience and lessons in the course of the translation project, and puts forward some suggestions for similar translation activities in the future. This not only helps to deepen the translator's understanding of translation, but also helps to improve the translator's level of translation. At the same time, the translator also hopes that his own research can provide some reference for the same type of translation.
