[Abstract]:[background] approaches to assessing and addressing the health risks of fossil fuels to children have tended either to focus on toxic gas emissions or to focus on climate change, which are fragmented and incomplete. Children growing and developing, especially poor children, now bear the disproportionate burden of environmental pollution caused by fossil fuel burning and climate change. [objective] in view of the current and expected multiple effects of fossil fuel combustion on children's health, this paper reviews the relevant scientific evidence on the need for a child-centred integrated energy and climate policy. In order to deal with all the physical and social psychological stress caused by fossil fuel pollution. [discussion] the data outlined in this paper show that significant health and economic benefits can be achieved for children and their future by significantly reducing dependence on fossil fuels. These benefits are not only immediate, but last for life and may even span generations. [conclusion] in addition to strong scientific and economic arguments and urgent action to reduce fossil fuel burning, it is imperative and moral to protect our most vulnerable populations.
