從女性主義批評(píng)視角解讀《我的安東妮亞》中的象征主義

作為第一位潛心描寫美國(guó)中西部拓荒時(shí)代故事的女作家,威拉·凱瑟（Willa Cather,1873-1947）以其獨(dú)特的題材、多元化的主題、清新的藝術(shù)風(fēng)格、舒緩的節(jié)奏、樸實(shí)優(yōu)美的文字和崇高的思想境界奠定了她在美國(guó)文學(xué)史上的重要地位,成為美國(guó)拓荒時(shí)代的代言人、美國(guó)在“不斷的物質(zhì)文明過程中精神美的捍衛(wèi)者”。因此,無論是凱瑟本人還是她的作品都贏得了評(píng)論界的廣泛觀注與重視,一股“威拉·凱瑟”熱在國(guó)內(nèi)外愈演愈烈。雖然,近年來學(xué)者們對(duì)威拉·凱瑟及其作品的研究視角各有不同,但到目前為止象征主義在凱瑟小說中的運(yùn)用并沒有得到全面、系統(tǒng)地分析。鑒于凱瑟本人曾經(jīng)對(duì)父權(quán)社會(huì)的堅(jiān)決抵抗及其對(duì)女性命運(yùn)的密切注視,本文試從女性主義批評(píng)視角解讀《我的安東妮亞》中的象征主義。女性主義批評(píng)興起于20世紀(jì)60、70年代,是一個(gè)曾經(jīng)取得了很大成就并不斷發(fā)展與完善著的批評(píng)學(xué)派。在西方婦女解放運(yùn)動(dòng)為其產(chǎn)生提供了歷史、政治和文化等方面的豐厚資源的同時(shí),女性主義批評(píng)也深受精神分析、結(jié)構(gòu)主義、解構(gòu)主義和“新馬克思主義”等流派的影響。它主要關(guān)注女性在社會(huì)地位、法律、文化等方面能夠擁有與男性同樣的自由和平等權(quán)。象征主義作為一種文學(xué)手段產(chǎn)生于...
