【摘要】：威廉·�？思{（1897-1962）是美國20世紀(jì)最著名的小說家之一，并于1949年因?qū)ΜF(xiàn)代小說強(qiáng)大而特殊的貢獻(xiàn)而被授予了諾貝爾文學(xué)獎，由此奠定了其在世界文壇上舉足輕重的地位。他一生寫了19部長篇小說、75部短篇小說和2個詩集，其中大多數(shù)作品以美國南方為背景，發(fā)生在以其家鄉(xiāng)小鎮(zhèn)“新奧克斯佛”為原型而虛構(gòu)的“約克納帕塔法縣”范圍內(nèi)�！缎鷩W與騷動》（1929）是福克納的代表作品，標(biāo)志著其寫作風(fēng)格的成熟，因?yàn)樵谶@部作品中他使用了包括多角度敘述、內(nèi)心獨(dú)白、長句子和意識流等多種文學(xué)表現(xiàn)手法。當(dāng)然，對這些藝術(shù)手法的研究也成為國內(nèi)外學(xué)者研究的熱點(diǎn)。 本論文的研究目的在于運(yùn)用布朗語料庫從詞匯和句法兩個層面對《喧嘩與騷動》的語言特點(diǎn)進(jìn)行對比分析研究。在詞匯層面，這篇論文從小說文本的詞數(shù)、詞長、詞頻和關(guān)鍵詞四個方面解析這部小說的語言特點(diǎn)。作品中的四個敘述者的語言使用有很大差別，為此，�？思{通過不同的語言素材和寫作技巧來展現(xiàn)每個敘述者的身份和接受教育的水平。在句法層面，本論文從句長、并列和從屬關(guān)系上分析《喧嘩與騷動》中的語言特征，作品中的每個敘述者的話語詞匯選擇、句子長度都向讀者透露出這些敘述者的身份地位和性格特點(diǎn)。小說中，威廉·�？思{使用了復(fù)雜多樣的句子結(jié)構(gòu)和語法結(jié)構(gòu)來表達(dá)這部小說復(fù)雜的主題和人物特點(diǎn)。 以布朗語料庫為參照語料庫，本論文作者運(yùn)用兩種計算機(jī)軟件從參照語料庫和研究語料庫—《喧嘩與騷動》中提取信息。布朗語料庫是60年代W. Nelson Francis和HenryKucera在布朗大學(xué)創(chuàng)建的一個著名語料庫，是由兩個綜合文本類型，即新聞信息類和虛構(gòu)想象類構(gòu)成。雖然這個語料庫的編輯工作發(fā)生在美國傳統(tǒng)語言學(xué)理論占主導(dǎo)地位的非常時期，但目前已經(jīng)在各個學(xué)科領(lǐng)域的計算機(jī)分析，如語言學(xué)分析、統(tǒng)計學(xué)分析、心理學(xué)分析和社會學(xué)分析中得到廣泛應(yīng)用。由于布朗語料庫包含了18種不同的文體，本文作者只選擇與研究語料庫對應(yīng)的K-R想象文體部分作為對照語料庫進(jìn)行研究，因?yàn)橄胂笪捏w部分主要包含普通小說、神秘偵探小說、科學(xué)小說、西方冒險小說、浪漫愛情小說和幽默小說共126個文本。由于這些小說都發(fā)表于十九世紀(jì)六十年代的美國，通常被人們視為代表美國現(xiàn)代英語的一些特點(diǎn)，因此，可以通過這些語料來分析�？思{的作品。此外，《喧嘩與騷動》發(fā)表于1929年，與布朗語料庫中的二十世紀(jì)六十年代的那些作品有共同的語言特點(diǎn)，將這部小說與布朗語料庫進(jìn)行對比詮釋可以更清楚地看出《喧嘩與騷動》的語言特征。正是基于這些可行性特征，本論文作者對《喧嘩與騷動》的四個組成部分進(jìn)行了拆分并比較出其語言的特點(diǎn)。 一般而言，基于布朗語料庫解釋語言特質(zhì)屬于語料庫方法論的應(yīng)用。為此，本論文作者基于語料庫分析《喧嘩與騷動》與傳統(tǒng)的文學(xué)分析方法相比具有以下特殊性。首先，因?yàn)橛嬎銠C(jī)軟件可以自動獲取信息，相比人工收集信息，這是一種更為客觀、可靠而且有效的方法。第二，電子版文學(xué)作品已成為現(xiàn)代文學(xué)研究的趨勢，而借助計算機(jī)軟件，研究者能夠更輕松地處理大量電子版文學(xué)文本。第三，語料庫的運(yùn)用使研究者能夠?qū)φ麄�文本進(jìn)行全面分析，并且可以對不同的文本作比較研究。在本論文所使用的兩個重要的計算機(jī)軟件：WordSmith和AntConc中，WordSmith是一個功能強(qiáng)大的軟件綜合包，包含了索引、詞單、關(guān)鍵詞、分割、文本轉(zhuǎn)換和文件查看等功能；而AntConc是一個相對簡單的索引程序，包含與WordSmith類似的功能。這兩個工具都被廣泛地應(yīng)用于語料庫語言學(xué)的研究和實(shí)驗(yàn)性研究之中。 本論文由六章構(gòu)成。在第一章中，本文作者簡單介紹了威廉·福克納、《喧嘩與騷動》、布朗語料庫和研究結(jié)構(gòu)的細(xì)節(jié)；在第二章中，回顧了國內(nèi)外學(xué)者對《喧嘩與騷動》所進(jìn)行的評述和研究，從中感悟到這部小說所具有的重要文學(xué)價值和語言學(xué)研究價值，同時總結(jié)了布朗語料庫的研究現(xiàn)狀；在第三章中，系統(tǒng)地討論了本篇論文的理論框架，包括文體、文體學(xué)的定義和語料庫語言學(xué)的理論；在第四章中，作者著眼于基于語料庫的研究方法的敘述，包括研究工具的介紹和“描寫、解釋和評價”研究過程的論述；在第五章中，通過數(shù)據(jù)檢索和數(shù)據(jù)對比分析，，研究得出《喧嘩與騷動》中四個不同敘述者在詞匯和句法方面具有不同的語言特點(diǎn)，從中領(lǐng)略到�？思{精湛的語言運(yùn)用能力，本部分也構(gòu)成了本論文的主體部分；最后一章是整個研究的結(jié)果部分，在明確指出本研究成果的同時，既肯定了語料庫分析方法的可行性，又指出了這種方法依然存在的缺陷，以及在未來本研究將運(yùn)用語料庫的新技術(shù)對《喧嘩與騷動》進(jìn)行更高層次上分析，以彌補(bǔ)這些缺陷。
[Abstract]:As one of the most famous writers in the 20th century in the United States and in 1949 , he was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature by his powerful and special contribution to modern novels . He wrote 19 novels , 75 short stories and 2 poems . Most of these works in the southern background of the United States , which marked the maturity of his writing style . Of course , he used many kinds of literary expression techniques , including multi - angle narrative , inner monologue , long sentence and stream of consciousness .

The purpose of this thesis is to use Brown Corpus to analyze the linguistic features of this novel from four aspects : vocabulary and syntax . At the lexical level , the thesis analyzes the characters of the novel in four aspects : the word length , the word length , the word frequency and the key word . In this paper , the author uses different language materials and writing techniques to reveal the identity and character of each narrative . In the novel , William Forks uses a complex sentence structure and grammatical structure to express the complex subject and characters of the novel .

Using Brown Corpus as the reference corpus , the author uses two kinds of computer software to extract the information from the reference corpus and the research corpus - - the noise and the disturbance . The Browns corpus is the W . The author only chooses K - R imaginary style part corresponding to the study corpus as a reference corpus , because it contains 18 different styles , and it is based on the characters of linguistic analysis , statistics analysis , psychology analysis and sociology analysis .

AntConc is a relatively simple indexing program that contains functions similar to WordSmith . Both tools are widely used in research and experimental research in corpus linguistics .

This thesis is composed of six chapters . In Chapter 1 , the author simply introduces the details of William Fook , the noise and the disturbance , the Browns corpus and the research structure .
In the second chapter , the author reviews the comments and studies of scholars at home and abroad on the noise and the disturbance , from which it has learned the important literary value and linguistic value of the novel , and summarizes the current research situation of Brown Corpus .
In the third chapter , the paper systematically discusses the theoretical framework of this thesis , including the definition of style , stylology and the theory of corpus linguistics ;
In chapter 4 , the author focuses on the description of corpus - based research methods , including the introduction of research tools and the discussion of " description , explanation and evaluation " research process ;
In the fifth chapter , through the analysis of data retrieval and data comparison , it is concluded that there are different linguistic characteristics of four different narrators in the noise and the rioting in the lexical and syntactic aspects .
The last chapter is the result part of the whole research . At the same time , the author points out the feasibility of the corpus analysis method and points out the defects that the method still exists , and makes a higher level analysis of the noise and the disturbance in the future by using the new technology of corpus in the future , so as to compensate for these defects .
