【摘要】：語言使用和語言態(tài)度長(zhǎng)期以來一直是社會(huì)語言學(xué)研究所關(guān)注的重要課題之一。對(duì)這一問題的研究能有效揭示很多語言現(xiàn)象的產(chǎn)生、存在以及發(fā)展變化的原因。同時(shí),對(duì)特定群體的語言使用狀況進(jìn)行的研究能反映出諸多深層次社會(huì)問題,如移民融合、少數(shù)民族語言文化傳承和語言社會(huì)化等。近年來,對(duì)在華外國(guó)人的語言使用已經(jīng)開展了一些研究,并取得了諸多研究成果,如留學(xué)生和外籍商人語言使用狀況等。目前,國(guó)內(nèi)描述邊境地區(qū)外籍商人語言使用狀況的研究較少。因此,一項(xiàng)對(duì)在邊境城市瑞麗的外商群體語言使用狀況的調(diào)查研究兼具理論和實(shí)踐意義。本研究基于“域理論”和“語言態(tài)度”的理論框架,以中緬邊境開放城市瑞麗為調(diào)查點(diǎn),結(jié)合定量研究與定性研究方法,采用楊燕(2012)和田真(2014)的調(diào)查問卷,并根據(jù)當(dāng)前調(diào)查對(duì)象的實(shí)際情況修改制成,對(duì)在瑞麗的182名外籍商人進(jìn)行了問卷調(diào)查,并通過對(duì)具有代表性的對(duì)象進(jìn)行訪談來收集數(shù)據(jù),旨在全面了解外商群體的語言水平狀況、不同場(chǎng)合的語言使用概貌和對(duì)不同語言的態(tài)度,并探討其產(chǎn)生的原因。主要研究結(jié)果為:1)就對(duì)漢語和英語的掌握情況而言,女性總體好于男性,20-29歲的好于其他年齡段,文化層次高的英語水平也較高,但不同教育背景的漢語水平無明顯差異,在瑞麗經(jīng)商時(shí)間較長(zhǎng)的漢語水平也較好;2)外籍商人在不同場(chǎng)合傾向于使用不同的語言,最常使用的語言是緬甸語、漢語普通話和漢語瑞麗方言,談話對(duì)象是影響語言選擇最重要的因素,社會(huì)變量對(duì)外籍商人在不同場(chǎng)合的語言使用的影響不同;3)外籍商人對(duì)漢語持有積極的態(tài)度,對(duì)漢語瑞麗方言的認(rèn)同高于普通話,同時(shí)也認(rèn)為英語是一門重要的語言;4)外商群體漢語能力不足對(duì)其與周圍中國(guó)商人交流、開展生意和日常生活均有影響,但影響程度依次遞減。本研究作為一項(xiàng)實(shí)證研究,豐富了“域理論”、“語言態(tài)度”和語言使用調(diào)查的相關(guān)研究。本研究的局限性主要表現(xiàn)在樣本量小和訪談人數(shù)較少等方面。未來的研究應(yīng)擴(kuò)大問卷和訪談樣本量,并采用諸如觀察和深度訪談等方式收集更多可靠數(shù)據(jù),因而盡可能避免這些不足。
[Abstract]:Language use and language attitude have long been one of the most important topics in sociolinguistics research. The study of this problem can effectively reveal the emergence, existence and development of many linguistic phenomena. At the same time, the study on the language use of specific groups can reflect many deep-seated social problems, such as the integration of immigrants, minority language and cultural heritage and language socialization. In recent years, some researches have been carried out on the language use of foreigners in China, and many research results have been obtained, such as the situation of language use of foreign students and foreign businessmen. At present, there are few studies on the language use of foreign businessmen in border areas. Therefore, a survey on the use of foreign language in the border city of Ruili is of both theoretical and practical significance. Based on the theoretical framework of "domain theory" and "language attitude", this study takes Ruili, an open border city of China and Myanmar, as a research point, and combines quantitative and qualitative research methods, and adopts the questionnaires of Yang Yan (2012) and Tian Zhen (2014). According to the actual situation of the current survey object, 182 foreign businessmen in Ruili were investigated by questionnaire, and the data were collected through interviews with representative objects. The purpose of this paper is to understand the language level of foreign business groups, the general situation of language use in different situations and their attitudes towards different languages, and to discuss the reasons for their emergence. The main result of the study is: (1) in terms of mastery of Chinese and English, women are generally better than men aged 20-29 years than other age groups, and the level of English with high cultural level is also higher, but there is no significant difference in Chinese proficiency among different educational backgrounds. Foreign businessmen tend to use different languages on different occasions. The most commonly used languages are Burmese, Mandarin and the Ruili dialect. The object of conversation is the most important factor affecting language choice, and social variables have different effects on the language use of foreign businessmen on different occasions. 3) the foreign businessmen have a positive attitude towards Chinese, and their recognition of Chinese Ruili dialect is higher than that of Putonghua. At the same time, it is considered that English is an important language. (4) the lack of Chinese ability of foreign groups has an effect on the communication, business and daily life with the Chinese businessmen around them, but the degree of influence is decreasing in turn. As an empirical study, this study enriches the field theory, language attitudes and language use surveys. The limitations of this study are mainly in the small sample size and the small number of interviews. Future research should expand the sample size of questionnaires and interviews and collect more reliable data by means of observation and in-depth interviews so as to avoid these shortcomings as far as possible.
