女性主義翻譯理論強(qiáng)調(diào)譯者對(duì)文本的干預(yù)和重寫,這與傳統(tǒng)翻譯觀有很大的區(qū)別,但其初衷一是為了消除語篇中基于男性中心主義而產(chǎn)生的對(duì)女性的偏見語言,從而推動(dòng)男女平等;二是試圖消除對(duì)譯文的歧視,讓譯文和原文享有平等地位,而不是從屬關(guān)系。后者與將翻譯學(xué)作為獨(dú)立學(xué)科和將翻譯語言作為獨(dú)立的語言變體來研究的總體趨勢(shì)一致。女性主義翻譯理論逐漸發(fā)展為與性別相關(guān)的翻譯理論。對(duì)社會(huì)性別、性別意識(shí)傳遞等的研究逐漸成為性別相關(guān)研究的重要組成部分。本文選擇了以描寫中國(guó)封建社會(huì)女性悲慘命運(yùn)的短篇小說《祝福》及其四個(gè)譯本來討論與性別相關(guān)的翻譯策略問題。本文采用的四個(gè)中譯本分別是由兩位男性譯者威廉姆·萊爾(William A.Lyell)、王際真和兩位女性譯者藍(lán)詩(shī)玲(Julia Lovell)、柳無垢的譯本。以女性主義翻譯策略為框架,對(duì)四個(gè)譯本從性別的角度進(jìn)行分析,探討四個(gè)譯本是否在“劫持(hijacking)”這一女性翻譯策略的引導(dǎo)下,運(yùn)用維奈和達(dá)貝爾內(nèi)(Vinay&Darbelnet)所指出的若干翻譯技巧,如轉(zhuǎn)喻(metonymy),闡釋(explicative),倒置(reversal of terms)等來...
