譯者作為連接原作與讀者的紐帶,其重要性不容爭辯,但在傳統(tǒng)的翻譯學領域中,譯者一直處于劣勢地位,甚至被視為“隱形人”。直到20世紀60年代“文化轉向”概念提出后,譯者的作用和地位才逐漸受到應有的重視。國內著名翻譯學家胡庚申基于“文化轉向”概念形成了跨學科的新理論——翻譯生態(tài)學理論,該理論將生態(tài)學與翻譯學相結合,為翻譯活動的進行和譯評標準提供了新思路。生態(tài)翻譯學認為,翻譯是譯者與翻譯生態(tài)環(huán)境之間的適應與選擇活動。在選擇與適應過程中,譯者需要發(fā)揮自身主體性,綜合考慮多方面因素的平衡,以譯出符合讀者意識形態(tài)和審美期待的譯作。《蛙》是諾貝爾文學獎獲得者莫言創(chuàng)作四載、三次易稿,歷時十余年潛心打造的一部震撼心靈的長篇力作,于2012年獲得茅盾文學獎。該書體裁獨具匠心,將信件、小說、戲劇融合一體,具有極高的藝術價值。美國著名漢學家葛浩文先生被人們稱為“中國現(xiàn)、當代文學的首席翻譯家”,他翻譯的英文版《蛙》于2014年出版,由于問世時間較短,該書的國內外研究相對較少,從生態(tài)翻譯學視角進行研究的更是寥寥無幾。本文以生態(tài)翻譯學為理論框架,以葛浩文在翻譯《蛙》為案例,將翻譯過程分為兩個階段:一是譯者對翻譯生態(tài)環(huán)...
