本文是基于利比亞籍作家希沙姆·馬塔爾（Hisham Matar）的回憶錄《回歸:父親、兒子和故土》（The Return:Fathers,Sons and the Land in Between）前五個章節(jié)撰寫而成的英譯漢翻譯實踐報告。希沙姆·馬塔爾的自傳體回憶錄《回歸:父親、兒子和故土》榮獲2017年普利策傳記或自傳獎,且被《紐約時報》評為“2016年度十佳書籍”。此書是希沙姆·馬塔爾對探尋父親失蹤真相的過程的回憶。父親賈巴拉·馬塔爾曾公開批評穆阿邁爾·卡扎菲的獨裁統(tǒng)治。1990年,正處于流放狀態(tài)的賈巴拉·馬塔爾遭到綁架,并被移交給利比亞政府,此后音訊全無。2012年春,希沙姆·馬塔爾回到利比亞首都的黎波里,欲探尋父親失蹤的原因以及背后的真相。希沙姆·馬塔爾希望通過此作品表達(dá)他對戰(zhàn)爭和獨裁統(tǒng)治的反思,對原生國家的愛、恨、思念和關(guān)切之情。此次翻譯任務(wù)的目的在于通過翻譯《回歸:父親、兒子和故土》這部作品,讓更多中國讀者從真實的角度了解利比亞以及阿拉伯國家的文化和歷史,也能為研究阿拉伯文化的學(xué)者提供一定的資料參考。此次翻譯任務(wù)是在生態(tài)翻譯學(xué)理論的指導(dǎo)下完成的。清華大學(xué)教授胡庚申于2001年...
