【摘要】：迄今為止,《紅樓夢(mèng)》英譯本在西方文化中的讀者接受與我們對(duì)經(jīng)典文本的期待存在較大距離。新近現(xiàn)身于日本的林語(yǔ)堂《紅樓夢(mèng)》英譯手稿有助于對(duì)此的反思。本文通過(guò)對(duì)林譯本的敘事結(jié)構(gòu)、文本立意的分析,認(rèn)為多年來(lái)中國(guó)文學(xué)"走出去"面臨的問(wèn)題之一是對(duì)中西文化關(guān)系格局對(duì)中國(guó)文本進(jìn)入西方文化的屏障機(jī)制,對(duì)文本文化語(yǔ)境改變與其經(jīng)典化的關(guān)系等認(rèn)識(shí)不足。林譯本做出的調(diào)整緣于對(duì)這一機(jī)制及關(guān)系的深刻認(rèn)識(shí),是他在中國(guó)文化走出去的理想與東西方文化關(guān)系制約之間做出的理性權(quán)衡。
[Abstract]:Up to now, the English translation of A Dream of Red Mansions has been widely accepted by readers in western culture and our expectation of the classic text is far away. The recent English translation of Lin Yutang's A Dream of Red Mansions in Japan helps to reflect on this. Based on the analysis of the narrative structure and the meaning of Lin's translation, this paper holds that one of the problems that Chinese literature has faced in "going out" over the years is the barrier mechanism of the relationship between Chinese and Western cultures to the entry of Chinese texts into Western culture. Lack of understanding of the relationship between cultural context change and its classicalization. The adjustment of Lin's translation is due to his profound understanding of this mechanism and relationship, which is his rational balance between the ideal of going out of Chinese culture and the restriction of the relationship between eastern and western cultures.
