【摘要】：英國作家喬治·奧威爾1949年出版的經(jīng)典科幻小說《一九八四》直到1979年才正式與中國讀者見面。作為第一位將《一九八四》介紹給中國大陸讀者的翻譯家,董樂山翻譯的《一九八四》也被視為最經(jīng)典的中文譯本。國內(nèi)外許多學(xué)者都對這部經(jīng)典作品進行過研究,主要是從政治觀點、預(yù)言真實性、女性主義等角度進行研究,但至今為止,只有少部分學(xué)者從翻譯學(xué)角度對《一九八四》中譯本進行分析,更別提從顯化角度研究了�？缯Z言間普遍存在著幾個重要的共性特征,顯化、簡化、以及規(guī)范化。顯化是源語文本中根據(jù)上下文情景得到的隱含信息在譯語文本中的展現(xiàn)。自從19世紀九十年代末,隨著大型語料庫的興起,越來越多的學(xué)者通過語料庫手段研究顯化特征。但總體來看,大部分研究多是圍繞證實顯化是否存在,較少深入探究顯化的動因。為此,本論文選取了喬治·奧威爾的《一九八四》和董樂山的中文譯本進行對比研究,通過NLPIR,WordSmith,Word,ParaConc和EditPlus3等語料庫工具,自建一個小型平行語料庫,對三大類邏輯連詞(因果、轉(zhuǎn)折、條件連詞)的顯化現(xiàn)象進行定性和定量分析,發(fā)現(xiàn)中文譯本中確實存在邏輯連詞顯化現(xiàn)象,其中,因果關(guān)系連詞顯化最為顯著,條件關(guān)系連詞顯化程度較低。同時,根據(jù)Klaudy提出的顯化分類理論,本研究分別對因果連詞、條件連詞、和轉(zhuǎn)折連詞中的強制性顯化、選擇性顯化、以及語用顯化進行檢驗。研究發(fā)現(xiàn),強制性顯化主要是由于中英文語言系統(tǒng)的差異。語句翻譯必須符合語法規(guī)范。選擇性顯化主要是語言習(xí)慣的體現(xiàn)。合乎語法規(guī)范的語句可能不一定符合中文表達習(xí)慣,這就需要譯者對語句進行一定的調(diào)整和修飾,讓讀者讀起來更順暢方便。語用顯化,顧名思義,是為了交際目的,跨越文化障礙。因此,通過對邏輯連詞更深層次的研究,發(fā)現(xiàn)顯化出現(xiàn)的動因主要是語言系統(tǒng)差異、交際與語用目的、以及譯者本身。本研究從邏輯連詞入手,為英譯漢小說中的顯化現(xiàn)象研究提供更多例證和參考,豐富了語料庫翻譯學(xué)實證研究。但由于篇幅和時間限制,只有三類邏輯連詞進行了細致分析,其它類別連詞還有待進一步的研究論證。另外,由于沒有詳細規(guī)范的方法區(qū)分不同種類的顯化,本研究對連詞顯化的分類存在一定的主觀性。
[Abstract]:British writer George Orwell's classic science fiction, 1984, was not officially introduced to Chinese readers until 1979. As the first translator to introduce "1984" to Chinese mainland readers, Dong Leshan's "1984" is also regarded as the most classical Chinese translation. Many scholars at home and abroad have studied this classic work, mainly from the political point of view, the truth of prophecy, feminism and other angles, but so far, Only a few scholars analyze the Chinese version of 1984 from the perspective of translation, let alone explicit. There are several important common features across languages, manifesting, simplifying, and standardizing. Explicit is the representation of the implicit information in the source text according to the context. Since the end of the 1890s, with the rise of large corpora, more and more scholars have studied explicit features by corpus-based methods. In general, however, most of the studies focus on the confirmation of the existence of manifestation, and less on the motivation of manifesting. Therefore, this paper selects the Chinese versions of George Orwell's 1984 and Dong Leshan for a comparative study. Through the use of EditPlus3 and EditPlus3, a small parallel corpus is built, and three kinds of logical conjunctions (causality, transition, transition) are constructed. Qualitative and quantitative analysis of the explicit phenomenon of conditional conjunctions, it is found that logical conjunctions do exist in the Chinese translation, among which causality conjunction is the most obvious, and conditional relational conjunctions are less explicit. At the same time, according to the explicit classification theory proposed by Klaudy, this study tests the mandatory explicit, selective explicit and pragmatic explicit in causality conjunction, conditional conjunction, and turning conjunction respectively. It is found that the mandatory manifestation is mainly due to the differences in Chinese and English language systems. Sentence translation must conform to grammatical norms. Selective manifestation is mainly the embodiment of language habits. Grammatical statements may not conform to the Chinese expression habits, which requires the translator to adjust and modify the sentences to make the readers read more smoothly and conveniently. Pragmatic manifestation, as its name implies, is to cross cultural barriers for communicative purposes. Therefore, through a deeper study of logical conjunctions, it is found that the main drivers of manifesting are differences in language systems, communicative and pragmatic purposes, and the translator himself. Starting with logical conjunctions, this study provides more examples and references for the study of explicit phenomena in English-Chinese novels and enriches the empirical study of corpus translation. However, due to space and time constraints, only three categories of logical conjunctions have been carefully analyzed, and other types of conjunctions need to be further studied and demonstrated. In addition, due to the lack of detailed and standardized methods to distinguish different types of explicit, this study has some subjectivity in the classification of conjunction manifestation.
