本文為一篇漢譯英翻譯實踐報告。翻譯實踐的源文本是導師與學苑出版社簽約的翻譯項目《故園畫憶》之《遼西風情》。該系列叢書于2014年入選新聞出版改革發(fā)展項目庫,《遼西風情》采用圖文并茂的形式記錄遼寧西部已經消失或者正在消失的特色建筑、民俗風情、生活場景等,共收錄188幅寫生畫。翻譯過程中,筆者遇到的問題主要來源于文化負載詞、專有名詞、句法三方面。筆者以順應論為指導,結合源文本的語言風格以及文本特征從語言、文化、交際三個層面,針對不同的問題提出了相應的翻譯策略,以實現源文本要表達的交際功能。通過案例分析,筆者發(fā)現:增譯、減譯、意譯、直譯加注、音譯、詞類轉換、結構調整等翻譯技巧的使用有助于譯本順應英語讀者的語言習慣、文化背景和交際思維,有利于英語讀者獲得與漢語讀者同等效力的閱讀感受。筆者希望本實踐報告能夠給之后研究文化遺產類文本翻譯的學者提供一些參考意見,為中華文化走出去做出綿薄貢獻。
