本文是一篇關(guān)于《澳大利亞原住民——土著人的故事》第三章的翻譯實踐報告。第三章主要講述了幾千年前居住在塔斯馬尼亞和維多利亞地區(qū)的澳大利亞人。作者根據(jù)探險者和歷史學家留下的證據(jù),還原土著人的故事,帶領(lǐng)讀者重新認識土著人。這是一篇極具研究價值的信息類文本。該實踐報告的第一章節(jié)是翻譯項目的簡介,第二章介紹準備工作,翻譯實踐的實施和后期審校工作,第三章是案例分析,總結(jié)重點和難點,舉例分析在處理詞匯和長句時所使用的翻譯方法。如詞義引申法,詞義選擇法,順譯法,重組法,拆分法等,最后分析如何處理帶破折號的句子。使用這些方法可以增強譯文的可讀性。第四章總結(jié)在實踐中收獲的經(jīng)驗以及對未來的建議。通過此次翻譯實踐,筆者能更靈活地運用一些翻譯方法和技巧,也更深入地學習了澳大利亞土著民的文化。此次翻譯實踐不僅對筆者自身有益,同時也為其他譯者和研究澳大利亞土著方面的讀者提供了借鑒。
