隨著改革開放的日益深入，國際社會對中國的關(guān)注與日俱增，法律文本作為對外宣傳的重要材料，其翻譯的重要性也日益凸顯。本文討論的是西安翻譯學(xué)院委托的《教學(xué)管理制度匯編》漢英翻譯項目，總字?jǐn)?shù)共計37萬余字。通過對該項目過程和譯文案例的分析，重點探討功能對等理論視角下規(guī)章制度的翻譯策略以及此類文本翻譯項目中譯者如何通過語言轉(zhuǎn)換技巧實現(xiàn)譯文的準(zhǔn)確性、易讀性和交際功能。通過使用文獻(xiàn)研究、案例分析、寫翻譯日志等方法，本文旨在表明譯者需要對翻譯這種跨文化交流活動有全面的理解。筆者通過對原語特點的解讀和對譯文的功能、目的和譯文的語言定位的分析提出規(guī)章制度翻譯的基本原則和技巧。在翻譯過程中，注重意義的引申和具體化，使用增補、省略、替代等技巧；通過對句群的拆分和整合確保譯文的準(zhǔn)確流暢，對長句翻譯進(jìn)行順譯法、逆譯法、拆譯法，并根據(jù)不同部分的文本類型處理人稱、語氣、情感等方面的問題。筆者期待在此類文本的翻譯處理和小型團隊項目的運作兩方面為翻譯工作者提供一些借鑒。
