The establishment of the disci2 pline of teaching Chinese as a foreign language started in the latter half of the 20th century and experienced three stages , namely the preparatory stage the establishing stage , and the developing stage. The study of teaching Chinese as a foreign language bears the common characteristics of China’s Chinese linguistics as well as its own distinctive features. It emphasizes pragmaticality and has explicit targets.   § 0引言新中國的對(duì)外漢語教學(xué),創(chuàng)建于1950年。在我國政府的大力支持下,50年來,取得了令人矚目的成績。從事對(duì)外漢語教學(xué)的高等學(xué)校由初期的一兩所發(fā)展到300 多所;對(duì)外漢語教師由幾個(gè)人擴(kuò)大到5000來人;來華學(xué)習(xí)漢語的外國留學(xué)生由每年的二三十人增加到近5 萬人。對(duì)外漢語教學(xué)現(xiàn)已形成了一個(gè)以學(xué)校教育
