狄金森是美國(guó)最偉大的詩(shī)人之一。雖然所受的教育不多,但她在家里廣泛閱讀。20多歲以后,她就開(kāi)始過(guò)著隱居生活。雖然狄金森呆在家里僅僅是通過(guò)書(shū)信與外界朋友進(jìn)行聯(lián)系,但是她一生中創(chuàng)作了1775首詩(shī)歌,以及許許多多的書(shū)信。 狄金森隱居在家里,不斷探索生命和大自然的意義,以及愛(ài)情、死亡、靈魂等,她對(duì)這些方面的觀(guān)點(diǎn)和態(tài)度在她的詩(shī)歌中都充分體現(xiàn)出來(lái)。本文將選取狄金森詩(shī)歌中的敘述文本和描寫(xiě)文本兩種體裁的詩(shī)歌作為語(yǔ)料進(jìn)行分析。敘述性詩(shī)歌是告訴讀者發(fā)生了什么事情或者向讀者講述故事；描寫(xiě)性詩(shī)歌是描寫(xiě)物體或者某些背景。功能語(yǔ)言學(xué)家認(rèn)為,體裁通過(guò)體裁結(jié)構(gòu)進(jìn)入文本。體裁結(jié)構(gòu)所扮演的角色就是“語(yǔ)言作為語(yǔ)義更高層次上的投射”的角色(Halliday,1977:193)。因此,本文首先是在體裁層面上分析這兩種體裁的詩(shī)歌,揭示它們的體裁結(jié)構(gòu)。 另一方面,我們是要發(fā)掘不同語(yǔ)場(chǎng)詩(shī)歌的深層意義。我們根據(jù)不同的語(yǔ)場(chǎng),把狄金森的詩(shī)歌分為死亡主題詩(shī)歌,自然主題詩(shī)歌和愛(ài)情主題詩(shī)歌,從而去探索狄金森對(duì)死亡、自然和愛(ài)情的態(tài)度和看法。根據(jù)Labov的敘述文本結(jié)構(gòu),以及在前面我們已經(jīng)揭示了的各個(gè)文本詩(shī)歌的體裁結(jié)構(gòu),我們得出,對(duì)于敘述性詩(shī)歌而言,...
