偵探小說是一種重要的文學(xué)類型。數(shù)以千計(jì)的西方偵探小說已經(jīng)被翻譯成中文,受到中國讀者熱烈歡迎。然而,針對(duì)偵探小說及偵探小說翻譯的研究卻相對(duì)較少；有必要對(duì)偵探小說的翻譯進(jìn)行繼續(xù)和更深入的研究。 人物對(duì)話在偵探小說中占有很大篇幅,起著舉足輕重的作用。而且由于偵探小說這種特殊文學(xué)類型的需要,人物對(duì)話常常是言簡義豐、意在言外。本文應(yīng)用格萊斯的會(huì)話含義理論分析偵探小說對(duì)話中的會(huì)話含義,考察了它們?cè)谟h翻譯中是否得到了有效再現(xiàn),對(duì)其中有待商榷的譯文探討更妥當(dāng)?shù)淖g法。本文試圖提出針對(duì)偵探小說中會(huì)話含義再現(xiàn)的翻譯原則及具體翻譯策略,旨在提高西方偵探小說英譯漢的翻譯質(zhì)量。 小說中的會(huì)話含義分成兩級(jí)：人物間會(huì)話含義及作者傳遞給讀者的會(huì)話含義。兩種會(huì)話含義都是通過人物對(duì)話實(shí)現(xiàn)的,都應(yīng)該在英漢翻譯中得到再現(xiàn)。 本文提出了偵探小說會(huì)話含義再現(xiàn)的原則：對(duì)情節(jié)發(fā)展和讀者推理至關(guān)重要的會(huì)話含義應(yīng)該確保清楚無誤地被讀者理解,對(duì)情節(jié)發(fā)展和讀者推理起次要作用的會(huì)話含義可以繼續(xù)保持隱含。本文論證了語境在會(huì)話含義再現(xiàn)中的重要作用,并由此提出會(huì)話含義再現(xiàn)可以分為兩個(gè)步驟：首先借助源語語境獲得會(huì)話含義；然后根據(jù)譯語語境再現(xiàn)會(huì)話含義。...
