《探險(xiǎn)家沃斯》中的陌生化藝術(shù)

帕特里克·懷特是澳大利亞現(xiàn)代主義文學(xué)巨匠,也是迄今為止第一位獲得諾貝爾文學(xué)獎(jiǎng)的澳大利亞作家。1973年折桂這次大獎(jiǎng),使得懷特聲譽(yù)遠(yuǎn)播,國(guó)內(nèi)的評(píng)論家也開(kāi)始重視起這個(gè)曾經(jīng)被定位成只會(huì)用晦澀的句子表達(dá)晦澀主題的作家!短诫U(xiǎn)家沃斯》是懷特的代表作。本文在基于前輩們的研究基礎(chǔ)之上,密切結(jié)合文本,嘗試將“陌生化”理論應(yīng)用于《探險(xiǎn)家沃斯》!澳吧崩碚撌嵌兰o(jì)二十年代俄國(guó)形式主義運(yùn)動(dòng)的一個(gè)重要理論,由形式主義的首要代表和主要發(fā)言人什克洛夫斯基于1917年在其著名的論文《作為藝術(shù)的手段》中提出。什克洛夫斯基強(qiáng)調(diào):“藝術(shù)的技巧就是使對(duì)象陌生,使形式變得困難,增加感覺(jué)的難度和時(shí)間長(zhǎng)度,因?yàn)楦杏X(jué)過(guò)程本身就是審美目的,必須設(shè)法延長(zhǎng)。藝術(shù)是體驗(yàn)對(duì)象的藝術(shù)構(gòu)成的一種方式,而對(duì)象本身并不重要!笔部寺宸蛩够J(rèn)為,反諷是一種陌生化技巧,用來(lái)對(duì)習(xí)以為常的陳腐觀念進(jìn)行創(chuàng)造性解構(gòu)和陌生化反處理。這也是懷特解構(gòu)常見(jiàn)事物的一種重要陌生化技巧。沃斯和他帶領(lǐng)下的探險(xiǎn)隊(duì)的悲劇命運(yùn)就是對(duì)他最初的“超人”的主觀意志一個(gè)極大反諷。反諷基調(diào)還貫穿在小說(shuō)的人物關(guān)系之中,小說(shuō)結(jié)構(gòu)以及語(yǔ)言描寫(xiě)也極具反諷意味。懷特還喜歡使用一些模糊,間接和朦朦...
