論《夢(mèng)娜在應(yīng)許之地》少數(shù)族裔對(duì)“應(yīng)許之地”的追尋

美國(guó)華裔作家任碧蓮擅長(zhǎng)書(shū)寫(xiě)多元文化背景下各少數(shù)族裔的關(guān)系。截至目前,她結(jié)合自身特殊的生活經(jīng)歷和社會(huì)地位,發(fā)表了多部涉及不同族裔背景人物的小說(shuō)!秹(mèng)娜在應(yīng)許之地》是探討少數(shù)族裔關(guān)系的集大成者,展現(xiàn)出民權(quán)運(yùn)動(dòng)時(shí)期美國(guó)小鎮(zhèn)“傷痕之丘”亞裔、猶太裔、非裔的生存狀況,以及族裔間的種族偏見(jiàn),反映了各少數(shù)族裔對(duì)象征自由、平等、公正的“應(yīng)許之地”的追求。種族偏見(jiàn)作為人性固有現(xiàn)象,從人類(lèi)誕生之日起便存在于各民族、社會(huì)、群體及其成員之中。它不同于種族歧視,沒(méi)有上升到“行為”層面,只是一種潛在的“態(tài)度”。這種社會(huì)心理現(xiàn)象深刻地影響著人際交往,特別是“外團(tuán)體”的族裔交往。因而,以種族偏見(jiàn)為切口,論文剖析了各少數(shù)族裔應(yīng)對(duì)種族偏見(jiàn)的方式,以及對(duì)多元文化主義的嘗試,進(jìn)而揭示出各少數(shù)族裔通過(guò)共同努力,勇敢摒棄互有的偏見(jiàn)和誤解,以致彼此的交流溝通取得積極的效果,并最終實(shí)現(xiàn)族裔間的理解與融合;诜N族偏見(jiàn)的視角,論文從“應(yīng)對(duì)”,“嘗試”和“期待”三個(gè)方面探討亞裔、猶太裔、非裔克服種族偏見(jiàn)、走向“應(yīng)許之地”的追尋過(guò)程。導(dǎo)論部分梳理近年來(lái)小說(shuō)《夢(mèng)娜在應(yīng)許之地》國(guó)內(nèi)外的研究成果,引入種族偏見(jiàn)的概念,并結(jié)合文本,指出各少數(shù)族裔在...
