　　關(guān)于簡·奧斯丁的經(jīng)典小說《傲慢與偏見》的研究與評論不勝枚舉。本文嘗試從語用學(xué)合作原則的角度,詳細剖析《傲慢與偏見》中女主人公伊麗莎白話語的會話含義(言外之意),在這一過程中,伊麗莎白的性格清晰地呈現(xiàn)在了讀者面前。本文首先回顧了國內(nèi)外關(guān)于格賴斯合作原則的研究,尤其是合作原則應(yīng)用于文學(xué)領(lǐng)域的研究,以及現(xiàn)當(dāng)代國內(nèi)語用學(xué)界對《傲慢與偏見》中對話的研究,發(fā)掘出運用合作原則分析《傲慢與偏見》中女主人公伊麗莎白對話的可行性和必要性。本文的理論支撐是格賴斯的合作原則,布朗和萊文森的間接禮貌策略。根據(jù)格賴斯合作原則的四個準(zhǔn)則,布朗和萊文森把間接禮貌策略歸為四類。本文采用了定性的個案研究方法。本文作者從《傲慢與偏見》中精選了大量典型的伊麗莎白使用間接表達的話語,又從十五種間接禮貌策略中選取了八種,根據(jù)對話具體使用了哪種策略而把這些對話分成八類,然后運用合作原則對這些對話及其會話含義進行詳細分析。分析主要包括這幾方面：(一)介紹了說這句話的背景；(二)使用了間接禮貌策略中的哪種策略；(三)違背了合作原則的哪一準(zhǔn)則,怎樣違背的;(四)表達了怎樣的會話含義；(五)揭示了哪種性格,怎樣揭示的。根據(jù)揭示出的三種性格...
