The main current reason, indicated by the investigation, that the superiority of the traditional Chinese medicine could not bring into full play lies in the improper...

The auther has investigated 32 sports scientific research institute, clinical units and teaching units from 15 provinces, regions and cities of the whole country, and has analysed the situation of the articles about the traditional Chinese medicine which published during the year of 1953 to 1988 in all kinds of sports mangazines in the whole nation. The main current reason, indicated by the investigation, that the superiority of the traditional Chinese medicine could not bring into full play lies in the improper proportion between western medicine and traditional Chinese medicine as a whole. This treatise proposed a design on training talents for the traditional Chinese medicine and also proposed a concept on setting up a new system of sports medicine with Chinese characteristics. Its basic model is that in the practice of scientific research and clinic the traditional Chinese medicine should respect and understand the objective test and scientific diagnosis of the modern medicine, and western medicine should respect and understand the dialectical thinking and the integrative treatment of the traditional Chinese medicine, thus having both advantages put together to achieve the best results, as the formula "1+1>2" (integrative optimizaton), of which both are difficult to work out singly.
