【摘要】：托尼·莫里森和格洛麗亞·內(nèi)勒是兩位重要的美國(guó)黑人女作家,分別出生于上個(gè)世紀(jì)30和50年代。莫里森作為唯一一位榮獲諾貝爾文學(xué)獎(jiǎng)的黑人女作家,藝術(shù)成就享譽(yù)世界,幾乎她的每部作品都被奉為經(jīng)典。格洛麗亞·內(nèi)勒作為美國(guó)黑人女作家中后起之秀的代表,也十分具有潛力,20世紀(jì)80年代初開始文學(xué)創(chuàng)作的她,憑借處女作《布魯斯特的女人們》斬獲美國(guó)圖書獎(jiǎng),之后的作品也是獲獎(jiǎng)無(wú)數(shù),廣受好評(píng)。莫里森和內(nèi)勒都屬于高產(chǎn)型作家,本論文將對(duì)她們的兩部代表作品《天堂》和《貝利咖啡館》做對(duì)比分析。《天堂》是莫里森獲得諾貝爾獎(jiǎng)之后的第一部小說(shuō),也是她歷史三部曲的完結(jié)之作,小說(shuō)一經(jīng)發(fā)表,就成為書店的暢銷書。《貝利咖啡館》則是格洛麗亞·內(nèi)勒的黑人女性四部曲中的最后一部小說(shuō),也是能夠充分展現(xiàn)內(nèi)勒創(chuàng)作思想與寫作風(fēng)格的一部。本論文旨在通過(guò)對(duì)這兩部作品在主題、人物以及敘事風(fēng)格三個(gè)方面上的比較,分析兩位黑人女作家在創(chuàng)作思想和創(chuàng)作手法上的相似性,從而論證托尼·莫里森對(duì)格洛麗亞·內(nèi)勒在文學(xué)創(chuàng)作上的影響。本文共分三個(gè)部分,第一部分為引言,簡(jiǎn)要介紹托尼·莫里森和格洛麗亞·內(nèi)勒的文學(xué)成就,兩部小說(shuō)的內(nèi)容概要以及文獻(xiàn)綜述。第二部分是論文的主體,共有三章。第一章是對(duì)比《貝利咖啡館》和《天堂》在主題上的相似性,兩位作家都用間接的方式揭露了美國(guó)黑人女性所遭受的雙重壓迫,并且她們一致認(rèn)為姐妹情誼是幫助黑人女性獲得解放的有效途徑。第二章探討了兩部小說(shuō)在人物創(chuàng)作上的相似性。在女性人物的塑造上,兩部作品中出現(xiàn)了很多相似的形象。此外,兩位作家對(duì)男性人物的設(shè)定都呈現(xiàn)出消極而負(fù)面的特點(diǎn)。第三章通過(guò)分析莫里森和內(nèi)勒在作品中的敘事特點(diǎn),總結(jié)出她們都善于在作品中運(yùn)用魔幻現(xiàn)實(shí)主義手法和布魯斯音樂(lè)風(fēng)格。第三部分是結(jié)論,通過(guò)對(duì)比《天堂》和《貝利咖啡館》,我們可以在年齡跨度相差約二十歲的兩位作家的作品中找到諸多相似之處。一方面,這反映出黑人女性作家在文學(xué)創(chuàng)作中存在很多共性;另一方面,也證明了前輩作家對(duì)后世作家在文學(xué)創(chuàng)作上產(chǎn)生的巨大影響。
[Abstract]:Tony Morrison and Gloria Naylor are two important black American women writers born in the 1930s and 1950s respectively. As the only black woman writer to win the Nobel Prize for Literature, Morrison has a world reputation for her artistic achievements, and almost every one of her works is regarded as a classic. Gloria Neller, as the representative of the up-and-coming female writers in the United States, also has great potential to win the American Book Award for her first work, Women of Brewster, who began her literary work in the early 1980s. Since then works are also innumerable awards, widely praised. Morrison and Naylor are both prolific writers. This paper will make a comparative analysis of their two representative works, Paradise and Pele Cafe. Paradise is Morrison's first novel since he won the Nobel Prize. At the end of her historical trilogy, the novel became the best seller in the bookstore once it was published. "the Pele Cafe" is the last novel in Gloria Neller's black women's quadrangle. It is also the one that can fully display Neller's creative thought and writing style. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the similarities of the two black female writers in their creative ideas and techniques by comparing the themes, characters and narrative styles of the two works. So as to demonstrate Tony Morrison's influence on Gloria Neller's literary creation. This paper is divided into three parts. The first part is the introduction, which briefly introduces the literary achievements of Tony Morrison and Gloria Naylor, the contents of the two novels and the literature review. The second part is the main body of the paper, there are three chapters. The first chapter is a comparison of the similarities in themes between Pele's Cafe and Paradise. Both writers indirectly expose the double oppression of black women in the United States. And they agreed that sisterhood was an effective way to free black women. The second chapter discusses the similarities between the two novels in the creation of characters. In the portrayal of female characters, there are many similar images in the two works. In addition, both writers have negative and negative characteristics on male characters. In the third chapter, by analyzing the narrative characteristics of Morrison and Neller in their works, the author concludes that they are good at using magic realism and blues style in their works. The third part is the conclusion. By comparing Paradise with Pele's Cafe, we can find many similarities in the works of two writers whose ages are about twenty years different. On the one hand, it reflects that there are many commonalities in the literary creation of black female writers; on the other hand, it also proves that the writers of the older generation have a great influence on the literary creation of later generations.
