【摘要】：中西學界對賽珍珠小說的文學史定位與評價向來毀譽參半。賽珍珠中國題材的小說,在思想內容方面,出于對中國、中國人、中國文化的親近與熱愛,主人公都是中國傳統(tǒng)規(guī)范的踐行者,其批判性遜色于同時期的精英文學代表作家魯迅與通俗文學代表作家張恨水;在藝術表現形式上,表現為結構的傳統(tǒng)性,人物刻畫的類型化與模式化、情節(jié)的傳奇性,有別于同時期的精英文學,而與通俗文學接近;其受眾和接受狀況,更是具有通俗文學特征。這與賽珍珠接受的早期教育、與賽珍珠對小說的定位、與賽珍珠獨特的身份等三個方面因素有關。賽珍珠小說的通俗性是無法回避也毋庸回避的事實,從時間、空間維度對賽珍珠小說及其通俗性進行價值重估,對于我們正確認識賽珍珠作品的通俗性以及其與通俗文學的親緣關系至關重要。
[Abstract]:The orientation and evaluation of the literary history of Pearl Buck's novels by Chinese and Western scholars have always been mixed. In terms of ideological content, Pearl Buck's novels on Chinese subjects are motivated by the closeness and love of China, the Chinese people, and the Chinese culture. The protagonists are all the practitioners of Chinese traditional norms, whose criticism is inferior to that of Lu Xun, the representative writer of the elite literature of the same period, and Zhang Henshui, the representative writer of popular literature. The typology and pattern of characterization and the legendary plot are different from the elite literature of the same period, but close to the popular literature. The audience and reception of the characters are even more characteristic of popular literature, which is similar to the early education received by Pearl Buck. It is related to the orientation of Pearl Buck's novels and her unique identity. The popularity of Pearl Buck's novels is the fact that she cannot be evaded or evaded from time. It is very important for us to correctly understand the popularity of Pearl Buck's novels and their kinship with popular literature.
