多模態(tài)語篇分析（Multimodal Discourse Analysis, MDA）是語篇分析的新方法,主要建立在Halliday的系統(tǒng)功能語言學(xué)（Systemic Functional Linguistics, SFL）的基礎(chǔ)上。多模態(tài)語篇（Multimodal discourse）被定義為由兩種或多種社會(huì)符號系統(tǒng)共同構(gòu)建意義的語篇,它不僅僅局限于語言,而是涉及到了其它模式,例如:圖像、聲音、手勢等。本文的總體目標(biāo)是對即時(shí)通訊（Instant Messaging, IM）的書寫語篇進(jìn)行多模態(tài)和多符號意義構(gòu)建的闡釋。在中國,網(wǎng)絡(luò)即時(shí)通訊作為一種嶄新的溝通交流方式,是從上個(gè)世紀(jì)80年代開始興起的,已經(jīng)發(fā)展成為人們?nèi)粘Ｉ钪蟹浅Ｖ匾慕涣魇侄�。表情符號（Emoticon）在聊天文本中隨處可見,成為即時(shí)通訊文本中的一個(gè)非常顯著的特征。然而,由于表情符號的新穎性,很少有研究涉及即時(shí)通訊語篇中的表情符號,尤其是關(guān)于表情符號及語言之間的關(guān)系的研究更為少見。基于此,本文試圖以Royce的符際互補(bǔ)分析（Intersemiotic Complementarity Analysis）為基礎(chǔ)對表情符號和語...
