微信在線會話下的恭維應(yīng)答語研究

【摘要】:20世紀(jì)80年代以來,國內(nèi)外語言學(xué)者M(jìn)anes,Pomerantz,Golato,李俊儒,馮江鴻等對恭維語及恭維應(yīng)答語的研究做出了巨大的貢獻(xiàn)。其中,對恭維應(yīng)答語進(jìn)行了不同角度的分析:研究恭維應(yīng)答句式的特征;研究年齡、性別、社會地位、教育背景等社會變量對恭維應(yīng)答策略選擇的影響;從跨文化角度對恭維應(yīng)答策略進(jìn)行了對比分析。學(xué)者們采用了不同的語料收集方式:(1)話語補全測試和問卷(BarnlundAkari 1985;Yuan 1996,(2)回想法(Knapp et al.1984),(3)角色扮演法(SatioBeechen 1997),(4)實地觀察法(WolfsonMane 1981),(4)對自然交互對話的錄音(Golato 2002a,Pomerantz 1978)。本文旨在分析年齡18至35歲的大學(xué)生和研究生群體微信在線會話中恭維應(yīng)答使用上的特征。著重分析了微信在線會話中這一群體的恭維應(yīng)答語的語言特征;恭維應(yīng)答策略的總體分布;對比了男女性別使用恭維應(yīng)答策略的不同并與前人研究口語語境下得出的結(jié)果加以對比分析。微信被認(rèn)為是在線交際的一種媒介,其語境不同于口語和筆語語境的特點,會影響語言的使用。正如王建華在《關(guān)于語境的構(gòu)成與分類》中提到:“網(wǎng)上聊天這種方式日益成為青少年交流的手段,這種新的媒介影響著語用交際……這種與傳統(tǒng)語用不同的媒介體,可以視為一種新的語境因素。”(鄭燕芳2005)。因此以下三個問題將會被討論:(1)微信在線會話下的恭維應(yīng)答語在語言使用方面有哪些特征?(2)微信在線會話下的恭維應(yīng)答策略總體分布如何?與前人研究的自然會話中恭維應(yīng)答策略的分布結(jié)果是否一致?(3)微信在線會話下,男女在恭維應(yīng)答策略選擇上是否相同?本文選取了50名經(jīng)常使用微信的本科生和研究生作為研究對象,為使結(jié)果更加客觀,其中選取的男女比例大致相等。并且要求每個人提供最少6條與恭維有關(guān)的聊天記錄,每個人的聊天記錄要來自于不同的交談對象。經(jīng)過語料篩選,最終得到300條相關(guān)語料。研究結(jié)果如下:(1)微信在線會話下的恭維應(yīng)答的語言使用方面具有如下特征:使用口語詞;短句;創(chuàng)新使用表情符號和標(biāo)點符號。(2)微信在線會話中大學(xué)生和研究生群體的恭維應(yīng)答策略是轉(zhuǎn)移/回避策略占據(jù)優(yōu)勢,其次是拒絕和接受策略。這一結(jié)果與先前的學(xué)者研究認(rèn)為當(dāng)代的大學(xué)生更趨于接受贊美有所不同。說明即使在微信聊天時,這一群體仍遵循謙虛原則,考慮面子和禮貌。(3)微信在線會話中,男女在恭維應(yīng)答策略的選擇上具有顯著差異(卡方值為9.828,P值0.007小于0.05,最小期望計數(shù)大于5)。女性多禮貌接受別人恭維,男性則傾向于回避,這與先前的學(xué)者得出的結(jié)論一致。不同之處在于女性拒絕別人的恭維也是多于男性的,這是因為本研究中女性收到的恭維大多是來自于男性對其外貌的恭維,而選擇拒絕這樣的恭維與女性更多考慮了自己的面子有關(guān)。
[Abstract]:Since the 1980s, Manesi Pomerantzan Golato, Li Junru and Feng Jianghong have made great contributions to the study of compliment and compliment response. Among them, the author analyzes compliment response from different angles: the characteristics of compliment response sentence, the influence of social variables such as age, sex, social status, educational background, etc, on the choice of compliment response strategy, and the influence of social variables such as age, sex, social status and educational background on the choice of compliment response strategy. This paper makes a comparative analysis of compliment response strategies from a cross-cultural perspective. Different data collection methods were used: (1) speech complement test and questionnaire (BarnlundAkari 1985 Yuan 1996, (2) Knapp et al.1984), (3) role playing method (Satio Beechen 1997), (4) Wolfson Mane 1981), (4 recording of natural interactive dialogue (Golato 2002aPomerantz 1978). The purpose of this paper is to analyze the characteristics of compliment response in online conversation of college students and graduate students aged 18 to 35. This paper focuses on the linguistic characteristics of the compliment responders in WeChat online conversations and the general distribution of compliment response strategies. The differences between male and female in the use of compliment response strategies were compared and compared with the results obtained from previous studies in oral context. WeChat is considered to be a medium for online communication, and its context is different from the characteristics of spoken and pen contexts, which will affect the use of language. As Wang Jianhua points out in the composition and Classification of context, "chatting online is increasingly becoming a means of communication among teenagers, and this new medium influences pragmatic communication." This medium, which is different from traditional pragmatics, can be regarded as a new contextual factor. " Zheng Yanfang 2005 Therefore, the following three questions will be discussed: (1) what are the characteristics of compliment responses in WeChat online conversations? (2) what are the overall distribution of compliment response strategies in WeChat online conversations? Is it consistent with the previous studies on the distribution of compliment response strategies in natural conversations? (3) under WeChat online conversation, are men and women the same in the choice of compliment response strategies? In order to make the results more objective, 50 undergraduates and postgraduates who often use WeChat were chosen to make the results more objective, in which the proportion of men and women was roughly equal. Each person is asked to provide at least 6 complimentary chat notes, each from a different subject. After data selection, 300 related data were obtained. The results are as follows: (1) the language use of compliment response under WeChat online conversation has the following characteristics: use of spoken words, short sentences, and short sentences; Creative use of emoji and punctuation. (2) the compliment response strategy of college students and graduate students in WeChat online conversation is dominated by transfer / avoidance strategy followed by rejection and acceptance strategy. This result is different from previous scholars' opinion that contemporary college students tend to accept praise. It shows that even in WeChat chat, this group still follows the principle of modesty, considering face and politeness. (3) WeChat online conversation, There were significant differences in the choice of compliment response strategies between men and women (the chi-square value was 9.828 P < 0.05 and the minimum expectation count was more than 5). Women politely accept compliments, men tend to avoid, which is consistent with previous scholars. The difference is that women also reject more compliments than men, because most of the compliments women received in this study came from men's compliments about their appearance. And the choice to refuse such compliments and women more consideration of their own face related.
