語言自然主義一直是語言哲學(xué)和科學(xué)的認(rèn)識方法以及研究手段之一。最早的語言自然認(rèn)識方法源于柏拉圖的《克拉底魯篇》，在這部作品中闡釋了語言與自然的關(guān)系，提出了語言現(xiàn)實主義，奠定了后世語言、思維和世界的三維模式。語言的自然主義方法與現(xiàn)代語言學(xué)理論密切相連，奠定了形式邏輯、心理和社會的三位一體的研究方法。形式邏輯蘊(yùn)涵語言的形式化和公理化，在自然主義角度借鑒了自然哲學(xué)的認(rèn)識手段；而心理和社會分別假定語言是心理和社會產(chǎn)物，從自然主義角度標(biāo)識了經(jīng)驗化的語言心理和社會過程。三位一體的研究方法從認(rèn)識論角度構(gòu)成了語言先驗主義、唯理主義和經(jīng)驗主義的認(rèn)識論體系，分別假定語言是先天的內(nèi)在稟賦和后天的行為及刺激的產(chǎn)物，二者均為自然主義認(rèn)識方式，可依賴?yán)硇灾髁x進(jìn)行歸納和建構(gòu)。傳統(tǒng)的語言自然主義思想在本文中作為語言自然化認(rèn)識論以及語言的自然方法的理論基礎(chǔ)。在評價奎因和喬姆斯基語言自然主義思想基礎(chǔ)上，文章嘗試把語言從認(rèn)識領(lǐng)域轉(zhuǎn)到本體領(lǐng)域，也就是把語言放到包括心理和社會范疇的更開闊的自然主義范疇，從而描述語言的自然屬性和特征。在這里，論文嘗試用本體論代替認(rèn)識論，即語言不僅反應(yīng)客觀存在，本身也是客觀存在的一個部分，可以用最基...
