銜接手段是語篇研究的重要對象之一。隨著Halliday and Hasan《英語的銜接》一書的出版,銜接理論就受到語言學界和翻譯界的關(guān)注。國內(nèi)外的不少學者力圖探索銜接在謀篇布局和確保語篇連貫方面所發(fā)揮的作用。銜接被認為是構(gòu)成語篇連貫的必要條件之一,所以在篇章翻譯中占據(jù)著重要的地位。受此啟發(fā),本文擬從篇章分析的角度對英漢演講辭中的銜接手段做詳盡而系統(tǒng)的對比分析,并從大量的例證中歸納系統(tǒng)的翻譯策略。以往對英漢銜接手段的對比分析,大都是建立在文學作品的基礎(chǔ)上,所以其研究結(jié)果未必適用于演講辭這種特殊的文本。演講辭有其自身的特點:結(jié)構(gòu)緊湊,語言簡明,目的性強,準確。此外,以往的研究主要運用定性的研究方法,本文將采用實例語料和定量分析并結(jié)合定性分析的方法對英漢演講辭中的各種銜接手段做系統(tǒng)的分析。為了確保研究結(jié)果的科學性,本文研究語料的選取需具備以下三個條件:英漢演講辭的話題相同或相似;總體長度一致;演講人是社會地位相當?shù)拿�。通過研究分析,本文有如下發(fā)現(xiàn):（1）總的來說,在文本字數(shù)相當?shù)那疤嵯?英語演講辭中的銜接手段遠遠多于漢語演講辭;（2）各種銜接手段的使用情況不同,在英語演講辭中,替代<...
