從后殖民主義視角看紅樓夢(mèng)的翻譯

【摘要】: 后殖民主義作為近年來(lái)在學(xué)術(shù)界新興的一門(mén)學(xué)科,正在日益和翻譯科學(xué)相結(jié)合。繼翻譯研究的文化轉(zhuǎn)向之后,學(xué)者們將目光投向了影響和控制翻譯的政治問(wèn)題。世界上存在的權(quán)力差異決定了翻譯的流向和取材,不同譯者采用的不同的翻譯策略也是由其所處的意識(shí)形態(tài)和文化背景而決定的。本文通過(guò)考察中國(guó)名著《紅樓夢(mèng)》在不同時(shí)期的英文翻譯以及在同一時(shí)期由中外翻譯家翻譯的不同譯本,分析了在權(quán)利差異下不平等的文化交流現(xiàn)象,進(jìn)一步說(shuō)明了翻譯在后殖民主義語(yǔ)境中是被強(qiáng)勢(shì)權(quán)利所控制的并通過(guò)歸化的策略來(lái)達(dá)到其文化同化的目的。
[Abstract]:Post-colonialism, as a new discipline in academic circles in recent years, is increasingly combined with translation science, following the cultural turn of translation studies. Scholars have turned their eyes to the political problems that influence and control translation. The power difference in the world determines the direction and materials of translation. The different translation strategies adopted by different translators are also determined by their ideology and cultural background. This paper examines the English translation of the Chinese masterpiece A Dream of Red Mansions in different periods and at the same time by both Chinese and foreign countries. Different translations translated by translators. This paper analyzes the phenomenon of unequal cultural communication under the difference of rights, and further explains that translation is controlled by powerful rights in the context of post-colonialism and achieves the goal of cultural assimilation through the strategy of domestication.
