　　卡森·麥卡勒斯(1917-1967)是二十世紀(jì)美國著名作家。她在1967年辭世時,留給了后人一筆頗為可觀的文學(xué)遺產(chǎn):4部長篇小說、一部中篇小說、兩部戲劇、20部短篇小說、約24篇散文、一部兒童詩集和一些零散的詩歌。其中,《婚禮的成員》、《心是孤獨的獵手》和《傷心咖啡館之歌》這三部小說堪稱精典。她曾在1942年和1946年兩度獲得“古根海姆基金獎”,1950年獲得“紐約劇評界獎”和“戲劇俱樂部金獎”。 本論文研究的是小說《婚禮的成員》的怪誕色彩。評論界普遍認(rèn)為,麥卡勒斯的作品揭示了人情冷漠﹑人心孤獨﹑愛的幻滅和溝通的缺失等主題,作品的怪誕手法的運用體現(xiàn)了對人類社會的消極﹑悲觀的態(tài)度。本文借助巴赫金的怪誕理論,從一個新的視角來詮釋作品的怪誕色彩,即怪誕蘊涵著肯定和革命性的力量。在《婚禮的成員》這部小說中,主人公弗蘭淇抵制那種充斥著美國南方美女形象的女性世界。她不但外表像男孩,而且各種行為習(xí)慣也酷似男孩。社會角色期待作為一套沉重的枷鎖,似乎無法理解這個離經(jīng)叛道的女孩。弗蘭淇就像狂歡節(jié)中不拘約束的“悍婦”。當(dāng)她嘗試著做一個傳統(tǒng)女人時,卻又往往弄巧成拙,此時,她又像巴赫金筆下狂...
