對拜厄特四部曲的后現(xiàn)代女性主義解讀

本文以拜厄特的女性成長小說四部曲《花園里的少女》,《平靜的生活》,《巴別塔》,以及《吹口哨的女人》為研究文本,以后現(xiàn)代女性主義理論為支撐,重點研究作品中“女性身份”和“女性形象”的確立過程。四部曲以貫徹始終的知識女性弗雷德里卡為主線,描述了她從少女生活,劍橋求學,結(jié)婚生子直到成為單親母親和成功的職業(yè)女性的經(jīng)歷,同時以其他知識女性為副線,揭示了女性從心理,思想到身體等在不同階段的蛻變過程,勾勒出一幅以英國二十世紀五六十年代為社會背景的知識女性的生活圖景。拜厄特的小說一直都是以知識女性為寫作目標,此論文針對這一特點,對文本從后現(xiàn)代女性主義的角度進行剖析,描寫了知識女性怎樣利用自己頭腦推翻傳統(tǒng)上夫,父,子權(quán)的束縛,在依然由男權(quán)當?shù)赖纳鐣飺碛信陨矸?并且成功樹立能夠被“看得見”,“聽得見”的新女性形象。在此過程中,作者的女性主義意識與觀點也有所體現(xiàn),對于傳統(tǒng)婚姻與姐妹情結(jié)的質(zhì)疑,知識對女性生存狀態(tài)的改善作用的揭示,以及對于開放性結(jié)尾運用的多重意義都透露出了作者對于女性問題的反思。同時也不難發(fā)現(xiàn)作者對于如何協(xié)調(diào)女性思想世界與現(xiàn)實的矛盾,怎樣實現(xiàn)知識女性對于婚姻,事業(yè),家庭等追求的關注。
