【摘要】：安妮·普魯是美國當(dāng)代最具影響力的作家之一。自從1993年她的第二部小說《船訊》出版，她以及她的作品受到了廣泛的關(guān)注。同年，該書獲得了國家圖書獎，次年又獲得了普利策小說獎。《船訊》講述的是一位失敗的中年男人奎爾重獲新生的故事。作為紐約一家當(dāng)?shù)貓?bào)紙的三流記者，奎爾長相丑陋，性格愚鈍，三十多年來從未受到過別人的肯定。突然厄運(yùn)降臨，父母雙亡，婚姻全線崩潰。在姑媽的鼓勵下，與其一道回到了祖居地紐芬蘭。從此他開始了漫長的心靈苦旅。在那里，他進(jìn)行了深刻的自我反思并在生活中采取了積極的行動。漸漸地他開始變得自信，勇敢，在事業(yè)上取得了成功，同時(shí)也收獲了美好的愛情。 喬治·盧卡奇認(rèn)為，無論從美學(xué)角度還是歷史哲學(xué)角度，成長小說都是抽象的理想主義小說和幻滅的浪漫主義小說的結(jié)合�！靶袆印睂�(yīng)著抽象的理想主義和主人公對改造世界的期待，而“沉思”則對應(yīng)幻滅的浪漫主義和主人公在接受現(xiàn)實(shí)世界時(shí)所產(chǎn)生的心理反應(yīng)。在成長小說的構(gòu)成中，主人公需要保持行動與沉思之間的平衡。也就是說，主人公需要在改造世界的期待和接受現(xiàn)實(shí)世界的之間保持平衡。所以，成長小說的主題是“成問題的個人在經(jīng)驗(yàn)理想的引導(dǎo)下與具體的社會現(xiàn)實(shí)之間的和解”。 奎爾最終實(shí)現(xiàn)了對改造世界的期待和接受現(xiàn)實(shí)世界的之間的和解統(tǒng)一。這種和解正是他成長的軌跡，，從一個無論是對自我還是世界都一無所知的邊緣人物蛻變?yōu)橐晃粚τ谧约簛碚f成熟,完整的英雄。近年來，國內(nèi)外對于該小說的研究主要集中在小說的地方色彩、生態(tài)批評、女性主義等方面。本文試圖從成長小說的角度，結(jié)合盧卡奇提出的“沉思與行動”在成長小說中的特殊作用，對《船訊》的主人公奎爾的心路歷程進(jìn)行深入解析。
[Abstract]:Anne Pru is one of the most influential contemporary American writers. Since her second novel, ship News, was published in 1993, she and her works have received wide attention. In the same year, the book won the National Book Award, and the following year it won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction. As a third-rate reporter in a local New York newspaper, Quill was ugly and dull and had never been praised for more than 30 years. Suddenly bad luck came, both parents died, and the whole marriage collapsed. Encouraged by her aunt, she returned to Newfoundland, where she lived. From then on he began a long journey of spiritual hardship. There, he made a deep self-reflection and took positive actions in his life. Gradually he became self-confident, brave, successful in his career, and reaped good love. George Lukacs believes that, from the point of view of aesthetics and historical philosophy, the growth novel is a combination of abstract idealistic novel and disillusionment romantic novel. "Action" corresponds to abstract idealism and the protagonist's expectation of transforming the world, while "contemplation" corresponds to disillusionment romanticism and the psychological reaction of the protagonist when he accepts the real world. In the composition of the growth novel, the protagonist needs to maintain a balance between action and contemplation. In other words, the protagonist needs to maintain a balance between the expectations of transforming the world and accepting the real world. Therefore, the theme of the growth novel is "the reconciliation between the problematic individual and the concrete social reality under the guidance of the ideal experience." Quill finally achieved reconciliation between expectations for transforming the world and acceptance of the real world. This reconciliation is the path of his growth from a marginal figure who knows nothing about himself or the world into a mature and complete hero for himself. In recent years, the domestic and foreign studies on the novel mainly focus on the local color, ecological criticism, feminism and so on. In this paper, from the point of view of the growing up novel and in combination with the special role of "meditation and action" put forward by Lukacs in the growth novel, this paper attempts to make a deep analysis of the mental course of the protagonist Quill in ship News.
