【摘要】：在翻譯傳統(tǒng)中,譯者通常被認(rèn)為是隱形的因?yàn)樗仨毻耆陀^地表達(dá)原作的意義,價(jià)值和風(fēng)格。與科技翻譯不同,文學(xué)翻譯不僅要傳達(dá)字面意思,還要展現(xiàn)作者的風(fēng)格并給目標(biāo)語(yǔ)讀者帶來(lái)源語(yǔ)言讀者讀原作時(shí)的美學(xué)體驗(yàn)。因此,文學(xué)翻譯需要譯者的創(chuàng)造性和目標(biāo)語(yǔ)讀者的定位。由于不同的國(guó)家有不同的文化,翻譯就應(yīng)該起到溝通和傳遞文化的功用。基于這個(gè)理論,在上世紀(jì)70年代末,德國(guó)語(yǔ)言學(xué)家威密爾提出了目的論。該理論為翻譯界提供了功能與社會(huì)文化觀念。目的論強(qiáng)調(diào)譯者是為讀者服務(wù)的,翻譯策略的選擇也取決于目標(biāo)語(yǔ)讀者。讀者的閱讀目的各有不同,同樣的翻譯作品不可能滿足不同讀者的不同需要。本文作者試圖將目的論應(yīng)用到傅東華的漢譯本《飄》上,借此解讀功能翻譯理論。借助于德國(guó)的功能派翻譯理論,我們得以從一個(gè)新的視角來(lái)仔細(xì)解讀傅東華的譯作。本文的目的在于分析傅東華的譯作《飄》,包括他的目的,翻譯策略和影響因素,以便倡導(dǎo)一種文學(xué)作品翻譯上更為科學(xué)、有序的功能翻譯手段。希望本文能為文學(xué)翻譯研究略盡綿薄之力。
