【摘要】：宋詞包含著豐富的文化內(nèi)涵,代表著中國(guó)傳統(tǒng)文化的精華,將其翻譯成英文有助于向世界推廣中華文化。然而,由于語(yǔ)言文化的差異,損失在翻譯過(guò)程中的發(fā)生在所難免。翻譯損失貫穿于翻譯活動(dòng)的整個(gè)過(guò)程,存在于語(yǔ)言信息、意義、文化傳遞和審美形式等各個(gè)層面,損失的程度也大小不等。故翻譯補(bǔ)償勢(shì)在必行。翻譯補(bǔ)償是“根據(jù)文本類(lèi)型和翻譯目的,對(duì)翻譯過(guò)程中的潛在的,或發(fā)生的損失進(jìn)行的修復(fù)和彌補(bǔ)�！北疚倪x取許淵沖先生英譯的宋詞,以夏廷德的翻譯補(bǔ)償理論為基礎(chǔ)從語(yǔ)言學(xué)層面和審美層面分析歸納許淵沖先生為了減少翻譯損失所采取的補(bǔ)償策略,并分析所達(dá)到的翻譯效果：補(bǔ)償?shù)氖褂媚軌蚋玫厥棺g入語(yǔ)讀者了解詞的內(nèi)容和內(nèi)涵,并推廣中國(guó)古典文化。分析研究顯示：在宋詞翻譯中,許淵沖先生在兩個(gè)層面運(yùn)用了不同的策略進(jìn)行補(bǔ)償：語(yǔ)言學(xué)層面的補(bǔ)償主要體現(xiàn)在詞匯、語(yǔ)法和語(yǔ)篇方面。詞匯方面,譯者主要采用了增譯、具體化、概略化、文本外注釋等；語(yǔ)法方面,添加時(shí)間副詞、添加助詞、運(yùn)用表示被動(dòng)語(yǔ)態(tài)和復(fù)數(shù)的詞匯等；語(yǔ)篇方面,主要增加人稱(chēng)代詞和邏輯連接詞。在審美層面上,分為審美功能的損失和補(bǔ)償以及文化沖突及補(bǔ)償。對(duì)于審美功能的補(bǔ)償,譯者側(cè)重對(duì)音韻、修辭和風(fēng)格進(jìn)行補(bǔ)償；對(duì)于文化沖突的補(bǔ)償,譯者主要采取了文化替代、文化移植和文化解釋的補(bǔ)償方式。
