本文是一篇翻譯報(bào)告,翻譯的原文是美國作家艾米莉·張（Emily Chang）所作的《男性烏托邦——摧毀硅谷男性俱樂部》（Brotopia:Breaking Up the Boys’Club of Silicon Valley）。該書出版于2018年2月,根據(jù)譯者的調(diào)查,目前我國國內(nèi)尚無譯文發(fā)表。原文以硅谷為例,揭露了女性在高科技行業(yè)中的真實(shí)處境,受到了《紐約時(shí)報(bào)》、《金融時(shí)報(bào)》等雜志的大力推崇,在社會(huì)上引起了較大反響。本報(bào)告選擇的原文是該書的第七、八兩章。第七章講述了科技行業(yè)的工作人員難以平衡家庭和生活;第八章描述了女性是網(wǎng)絡(luò)暴力的主要對(duì)象,而科技公司和這一現(xiàn)象有著緊密聯(lián)系。中英文在代詞的使用上有一定差異。英語中頻繁使用代詞,特別是指示代詞。在原文中,同一個(gè)代詞甚至在一句話中出現(xiàn)了三次。但中文卻用得較少,代詞太多容易造成語義不清。這是翻譯的難點(diǎn)之一。此外,原文有兩個(gè)章節(jié),這兩個(gè)章節(jié)分別包括5到7個(gè)部分,且每部分都有自己的標(biāo)題。如果直接將這些副標(biāo)題翻譯成中文,原文意思不能清晰地表達(dá)出來。這也是翻譯的難點(diǎn)。對(duì)于以上翻譯難點(diǎn),譯者采用了蒙娜·貝克（Mona Baker）的顯化共性理論。貝克教...
