作為翻譯文化轉(zhuǎn)向的代表人物之一,安德烈·勒菲弗爾將翻譯看作改寫(xiě)的一種形式,主張突破文本的局限,把翻譯放到意識(shí)形態(tài)、經(jīng)濟(jì)和文化中進(jìn)行討論,他尤其重視目標(biāo)語(yǔ)文化對(duì)翻譯的影響,并歸納提出了翻譯研究的四個(gè)方面:意識(shí)形態(tài)、詩(shī)學(xué)、論域和語(yǔ)言。本研究主要以勒菲弗爾的改寫(xiě)觀點(diǎn)為框架,分別從以上四個(gè)方面對(duì)《胡適之》漢譯本進(jìn)行個(gè)案研究,以期通過(guò)大量文獻(xiàn)研究,對(duì)比分析,推測(cè)其改寫(xiě)動(dòng)機(jī),探討譯本中具體的改寫(xiě)現(xiàn)象�！逗m之》漢譯本是一篇不足千字的人物傳記,改譯自溫源寧發(fā)表于《中國(guó)評(píng)論周刊》上的英文原作Dr.HuShih—APhilosophe,譯者林語(yǔ)堂,該譯本極大程度上違背了譯者本人提出的“忠實(shí)”的翻譯標(biāo)準(zhǔn)。這一現(xiàn)象僅借語(yǔ)言學(xué)派理論難以得到合理解釋,更需要探討文本外因素對(duì)譯本操控的可能性,因此勒氏的改寫(xiě)觀點(diǎn)具有借鑒意義。本研究發(fā)現(xiàn),在意識(shí)形態(tài)層面上,譯作的壓力主要來(lái)自贊助人和專業(yè)人士,《胡適之》的改寫(xiě)則主要受《人間世》雜志及兼出版者和譯者兩種身份的林語(yǔ)堂的操控。二十世紀(jì)前后的中國(guó)社會(huì)處于轉(zhuǎn)型的巨變中,文化、思想陣營(yíng)林立,不同學(xué)者對(duì)中西文化表現(xiàn)出不同的傾向。在這種環(huán)境下,一方面,原作者溫源寧深受西方文化和英國(guó)文...
