【摘要】：近年來,文學作品中隱喻的英譯問題引起了翻譯界的熱議。實際上,隱喻的翻譯在很大程度上影響著翻譯的質(zhì)量及目的語讀者對作品的理解。中國當代小說《紅高粱家族》自出版以來被譯成英語、法語等12多種語言。翻譯界學者們對此小說的英譯本進行過很多的研究,大多集中在文化負載詞、語言風格和譯者主體性等方面。而原文中有大量的隱喻并具有獨特的藝術(shù)魅力。有的學者從語言學角度對《紅高粱家族》中隱喻的翻譯進行研究,也有從目的論的角度來分析其英譯本。到目前為止,結(jié)合目的論對《紅高粱家族》中的隱喻及其翻譯進行研究不多。本文以《紅高粱家族》中的隱喻及其英譯為研究對象,分析隱喻翻譯的優(yōu)點、所存在的問題及其翻譯方法。本文采用個案研究的方法,運用目的論的三個基本原則:目的原則、連貫原則與忠誠原則對《紅高粱家族》中的隱喻翻譯進行分析探討。主要研究以下兩個問題:(1)《紅高粱家族》英譯本中隱喻翻譯存在哪些問題,如何處理?(2)《紅高粱家族》英譯本中隱喻翻譯運用了哪些翻譯方法?通過分析,用目的論指導(dǎo)《紅高粱家族》的英譯真實體現(xiàn)原文,在隱喻的方面尤為突出。研究發(fā)現(xiàn):第一,葛浩文翻譯的《紅高粱家族》中的隱喻翻譯基本遵循了目的論下的三個原則,但是仍然存在一些問題,比如說有些翻譯沒有實現(xiàn)它的翻譯目的,或沒有正確傳達原文內(nèi)容或誤譯等。對于這些存在的問題,本文在目的論的指導(dǎo)下提出了相應(yīng)的修改意見。第二,《紅高粱家族》運用解釋說明、轉(zhuǎn)換、直譯、刪除和注釋五種翻譯方法對隱喻進行翻譯,同時本文在這些方法指導(dǎo)下對存在問題的隱喻翻譯進行合理的修改,盡量滿足其翻譯目的,再現(xiàn)原隱喻的內(nèi)容和風格,滿足讀者的需要。此外,本文在目的論啟示下提出關(guān)于隱喻翻譯的五種方法能解決隱喻翻譯中的一些具體問題,從理論上為文學作品中的隱喻翻譯研究尋求有效可靠的依據(jù),在具體的翻譯實踐中提供可行的方法實現(xiàn)隱喻翻譯的目的,盡可能獲得與原文同樣的效果。
[Abstract]:In recent years, the translation of metaphors in literary works has aroused heated debate in the field of translation.In fact, the translation of metaphors greatly affects the quality of translation and the readers' understanding of the works.The Red Sorghum Family, a contemporary Chinese novel, has been translated into more than 12 languages such as English and French since its publication.Translation scholars have done a lot of research on the English translation of the novel, most of which focus on culture-loaded words, language style and translator's subjectivity.There are a lot of metaphors and unique artistic charm in the original text.Some scholars study the translation of metaphor in the Red Sorghum Family from a linguistic perspective, while others analyze its English translation from the perspective of Skopos.So far, there are few studies on metaphor and its translation in Red Sorghum Family combined with Skopos theory.This paper takes metaphor and its English translation in Red Sorghum Family as the research object, and analyzes the advantages, problems and translation methods of metaphorical translation.In this paper, a case study method is used to analyze the translation of metaphors in Red Sorghum Family by using three basic principles of Skopos: Skopos principle, coherence principle and loyalty principle.This paper focuses on the following two questions: 1) what are the problems in the translation of metaphors in the English translation of the Red Sorghum Family, and how to deal with the translation of metaphors in the English versions of the Red Sorghum Family? what translation methods have been used in the translation of metaphors in the English versions of the Red Sorghum Family?Through the analysis, the English translation of Red Sorghum Family shows the original text with Skopos theory, especially in the aspect of metaphor.First, the translation of metaphor in the Red Sorghum Family in the translation of the Red Sorghum Family by Gehhot basically follows the three principles of Skopos theory, but there are still some problems, for example, some translation fails to achieve its translation purpose.Or did not correctly convey the original content or misinterpretation, etc.Under the guidance of Skopos theory, this paper puts forward some suggestions to modify these existing problems.Second, the Red Sorghum Family uses five translation methods: explanation, conversion, literal translation, deletion and annotation, to translate metaphors. At the same time, under the guidance of these methods, this paper makes reasonable modifications to the translation of metaphors with problems.The purpose of translation is to reproduce the content and style of the original metaphor and to meet the needs of the readers.In addition, under the inspiration of Skopos theory, this paper proposes five approaches to metaphorical translation, which can solve some specific problems in metaphor translation, and theoretically seek an effective and reliable basis for the study of metaphor translation in literary works.In the specific translation practice, it provides feasible methods to achieve the purpose of metaphorical translation, and achieves the same effect as the original text as far as possible.
