【摘要】： 二十世紀(jì)七十年代,翻譯研究出現(xiàn)了重大的轉(zhuǎn)向,跳出了語(yǔ)言學(xué)研究的藩籬,轉(zhuǎn)向了文化方向,不再局限于語(yǔ)言層面,而是將翻譯置于文化、社會(huì)、歷史的宏觀語(yǔ)境下進(jìn)行探討,拓展了翻譯研究的視野,開(kāi)辟了翻譯研究的新角度。作為文化學(xué)派代表之一的勒菲弗爾提出了改寫理論,闡釋了影響翻譯的三因素說(shuō):贊助人、意識(shí)形態(tài)和詩(shī)學(xué),為翻譯研究提供了新的研究范式,具有很強(qiáng)的解釋力。 《福爾摩斯偵探案》作為柯南·道爾最為著名的代表作,一經(jīng)傳入中國(guó)就受到讀者的熱愛(ài),魅力經(jīng)久不衰。從1896年首次譯入中國(guó)以來(lái),福爾摩斯的故事一再被翻譯,成為國(guó)內(nèi)譯本最多的小說(shuō)之一。故事中柯南·道爾除了描述了栩栩如生的歇洛克·福爾摩斯之外,也刻畫了一些性格堅(jiān)強(qiáng),有處事和應(yīng)變能力的女性。在中國(guó)不同時(shí)期的譯本之中,對(duì)于這些女性形象的翻譯有很大的不同。清末民初時(shí)期的譯本之中,大部分女性形象經(jīng)過(guò)翻譯之后,呈現(xiàn)給讀者的是典型的中國(guó)女性形象,和原來(lái)的堅(jiān)強(qiáng)的西方女性形象大相徑庭。而建國(guó)之后的譯本中的女性形象則比較接近原文中的女性形象。這是一個(gè)十分特殊的現(xiàn)象。 本文選取了這兩個(gè)時(shí)期具有代表性的譯本,即1916年出版的《福爾摩斯偵探案全集》和1981年出版的《福爾摩斯探案全集》,對(duì)比了兩個(gè)譯本之中女性形象的不同,以勒菲弗爾的改寫理論為基礎(chǔ),試圖找出女性形象發(fā)生演變的原因。通過(guò)對(duì)比分析這兩個(gè)不同歷史時(shí)期的贊助人,意識(shí)形態(tài)和詩(shī)學(xué),本文認(rèn)為兩個(gè)譯本的譯者由于受到了當(dāng)時(shí)社會(huì)的贊助人,意識(shí)形態(tài),詩(shī)學(xué)三因素的影響,在翻譯的過(guò)程中對(duì)原文的女性形象進(jìn)行了改寫,而由于不同時(shí)期三因素有不同的表現(xiàn),從而導(dǎo)致兩個(gè)譯本中女性形象的演變。 文章最后指出,盡管相對(duì)于1916年的譯文中的女性形象來(lái)說(shuō),1981年譯文里的女性形象更貼近于原文形象,但是卻并不能對(duì)等于原文的女性形象,而這是由于中西文化差異造成的,需要通過(guò)進(jìn)一步的研究來(lái)探討文化對(duì)于女性形象翻譯的影響。
[Abstract]:In 1970s, there was a major turn in the study of translation, which moved beyond the barriers of linguistic studies to the direction of culture, no longer confined to the linguistic level, but rather placed translation in culture and society. In the macro context of history, the study has expanded the perspective of translation studies and opened up a new perspective in translation studies. As one of the representatives of cultural schools, Lefevere put forward the theory of rewriting and explained the three factors that affect translation: patronage. Ideology and poetics provide a new paradigm for translation studies. As Conan Doyle's most famous masterpiece, the Sherlock Holmes case has long been loved by readers since it was introduced into China. Since its first translation into China in 1896, Sherlock Holmes's story has been translated again and again. One of the most translated novels in China, Conan Doyle depicts not only the lifelike Sherlock Holmes, but also some strong personalities. Women who have the ability to deal with things and have the ability to deal with emergencies. In the translation of these female images in different periods in China, there are great differences. In the translations of the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, most of the female images have been translated. It is a very special phenomenon that the female image in the translation after the founding of the people's Republic of China is close to the female image in the original text. This paper selects the representative versions of these two periods, that is, the complete works of Sherlock Holmes' Detective case published in 1916 and the complete works of Sherlock Holmes' Inquiry published in 1981, and compares the differences between the female images of the two versions. Based on Lefevere's rewriting theory, this paper tries to find out the reasons for the evolution of female images. Through comparative analysis of the patronage, ideology and poetics of these two different historical periods, This paper argues that the translators of the two versions were influenced by the patronage, ideology and poetics of the society at that time. In the process of translation, the female images of the original text were rewritten, but the three factors had different manifestations in different periods. This leads to the evolution of female images in the two versions. Finally, the article points out that although the female images in the 1981 translation are closer to the original images, they are not equal to the original female images, which is caused by the cultural differences between China and the West. Further research is needed to explore the impact of culture on the translation of female images.
