以《華夏集》英譯為例看龐德對(duì)中國(guó)詩(shī)歌的誤讀與創(chuàng)新

   艾茲拉·龐德是意象派詩(shī)歌的創(chuàng)始人之一。1925年,龐德出版了漢詩(shī)譯作《華夏集》,把歐美現(xiàn)代詩(shī)歌接受中國(guó)古典詩(shī)歌的影響提到了歷史的高度。在東西方文化的交流過(guò)程中,異文化之間的誤讀現(xiàn)象總是不可避免的存在著;然而龐德,一改當(dāng)時(shí)盛行的維多利亞詩(shī)歌風(fēng)格,用中國(guó)古典詩(shī)歌這一截然不同的文學(xué)形式與死板只重主觀表達(dá)的維多利亞詩(shī)歌對(duì)抗,達(dá)到了創(chuàng)新美國(guó)詩(shī)歌的效果,讓讀者耳目一新。 本文旨在用《華夏集》來(lái)反映龐德的翻譯思想及探究其思想淵源!度A夏集》擁有特殊的翻譯媒介,翻譯方法和深遠(yuǎn)的影響,很好的闡釋了譯者對(duì)原文的理解與闡釋不是簡(jiǎn)單的復(fù)制原文意思,而是要有所創(chuàng)造。本文會(huì)以《華夏集》為例,從文體風(fēng)格,語(yǔ)言及語(yǔ)法,和韻律等方面入手,來(lái)分析龐德的誤讀和創(chuàng)新。此外,文章還分析了文化誤讀出現(xiàn)的偶然性和必然性,即有意識(shí)誤讀和無(wú)意識(shí)誤讀,進(jìn)一步加深對(duì)龐德翻譯思想的了解。 在對(duì)中國(guó)古典詩(shī)歌的翻譯中,龐德所運(yùn)用的創(chuàng)意翻譯法受到了國(guó)內(nèi)外譯評(píng)界褒貶不一的評(píng)論,但我們應(yīng)該辯證對(duì)待。一方面龐德的《華夏集》推動(dòng)了美國(guó)新詩(shī)運(yùn)動(dòng)的發(fā)展,極大的促進(jìn)了西方世界對(duì)中國(guó)詩(shī)歌及中國(guó)文化的了解,另一方面誤讀和誤譯不利于跨文化的交流,甚至對(duì)源語(yǔ)國(guó)家的政治、經(jīng)濟(jì)、文化和意識(shí)形態(tài)造成不必要的混亂,中西翻譯文化史都證明了這一點(diǎn),這些對(duì)讀者正確理解異質(zhì)文化產(chǎn)生負(fù)面影響?偟膩(lái)說(shuō),龐德對(duì)中國(guó)詩(shī)歌的翻譯利弊皆有,但他的創(chuàng)意性要高于他的誤讀效應(yīng)。
