【摘要】： 林紓(1852-1924)是晚清時期一位著名的翻譯家,他一共翻譯了約180部作品,涉及11個國家,是最早將外國文學介紹到中國的譯者之一。有很多學者對林紓及其“林譯小說”進行過研究,但是很少有人對“林譯小說”流行的原因進行過系統(tǒng)的分析和探討。 本文試圖從三個方面探討“林譯小說”流行的原因,即:“林譯小說”的主題,譯者林紓,和“林譯小說”的讀者。通過這三個方面的分析,“林譯小說”流行的原因逐漸清晰起來:首先,“林譯小說”的主題是“林譯小說”流行的原因之一。因為大多數(shù)“林譯小說”的主題都符合了讀者的期待視野,滿足了當時讀者的需要。在晚清時候,人們除了知道國外有槍支彈藥外,幾乎對國外沒有任何了解。他們認為外國人沒有像他們那樣能引以自豪的燦爛文化和文學作品。但是,林紓改變了他們的看法。“林譯小說”使國人知道外國人也有動人的愛情故事,國外也有受壓迫的人民,而且外國人還有他們從未讀過的冒險小說和偵探小說。因此,“林譯小說”主題的多樣性引起了讀者的好奇心,它是使得“林譯小說”流行的第一個原因。其次,譯者本身也是造成“林譯小說”流行的重要因素。林紓出色的文言文使得他的譯作栩栩如生,極具吸引力。他使用的翻譯技巧也符合當時的接受環(huán)境。此外,他與出版社的良好關系也促進了他譯作的順利發(fā)行。因此,林紓本人也是促進他的翻譯小說流行的原因。再次,“林譯小說”的讀者也是促進“林譯小說”受歡迎的不可忽視的重要因素。不同的讀者有不同的閱讀目的,有些讀者想通過閱讀使自己得到放松,有些讀者想通過閱讀來獲取知識,有些讀者想通過閱讀來模仿作者的寫作技巧。“林譯小說”能滿足讀者的大多數(shù)閱讀目的,因此,讀者喜歡看“林譯小說”,這樣“林譯小說”就在讀者中流行開來。
[Abstract]:Lin Shu (1852-1924) was a famous translator in the late Qing Dynasty. He translated about 180 works, covering 11 countries, and was one of the first translators to introduce foreign literature to China. There are many scholars who have studied Lin Shu and his translated novels, but few have made systematic analysis and discussion on the reasons for the popularity of "translated novels by Lin". This paper attempts to explore the reasons for the popularity of "translated novels" from three aspects. Namely: the theme of the novel translated by Lin, the translator Lin Shu, and the readers of the novel translated by Lin. Through the analysis of these three aspects, the reasons for the popularity of "translated novels by Lin" gradually become clear: first, the theme of "translated novels by Lin" is one of the reasons for the popularity of "novels translated by Lin". Because the themes of most of the translated novels are in line with the readers' expectations and meet the needs of the readers at that time. In the late Qing Dynasty, people knew little about foreign countries except guns and ammunition. They don't think foreigners have the splendid culture and literature that they can be proud of. But Lin Shu changed their view. "translated novels by Lin" makes people know that foreigners also have touching love stories, that there are oppressed people abroad, and that foreigners have adventure novels and detective stories that they have never read before. Therefore, the variety of themes in the novel arouses the reader's curiosity, which is the first reason why the novel is popular. Second, the translator itself is also an important factor in the popularity of translated novels. Lin Shu's outstanding classical Chinese makes his translation vivid and attractive. The translation techniques he used were also in line with the reception environment at the time. In addition, his good relationship with the publishing house also promoted the smooth release of his translated works. Therefore, Lin Shu himself is the reason for the popularity of his translated novels. Thirdly, the readers of the translated novels are also the important factors to promote the popularity of the novels. Different readers have different reading purposes. Some readers want to relax themselves by reading, some readers want to acquire knowledge by reading, and others want to imitate the author's writing skills by reading. "translated novels" can satisfy most of the readers' reading purposes. Therefore, readers like to read "translated novels", thus "translated novels" become popular among readers.
