【摘要】：夏濟安是著名的文學(xué)評論家,也是一流的翻譯家。他是研究美國文學(xué)的高手也親筆翻譯了美國散文。他的譯筆簡潔、優(yōu)美、典雅,曾經(jīng)風靡港臺,其名句名篇,不少人能脫口成誦,然而在大陸卻鮮有人閱讀和研究。 本文以夏濟安編譯的《名家散文選讀》為研究對象,利用新批評的細讀法進行文本分析,從語音、詞匯、句法、修辭和意象等層面分析了夏濟安的主要翻譯方法,并且與劉榮躍、徐遲、高健翻譯的個別片段進行了對比。而后從歷史的角度,利用相關(guān)文獻考據(jù),分析夏濟安翻譯風格的成因,認為夏濟安的翻譯風格是其生活經(jīng)歷、性格、文學(xué)修養(yǎng)、民國時期的文風與譯風,以及他所處的政治、地理環(huán)境的綜合反映,同時又有其獨特性。論文經(jīng)過分析指出了夏濟安翻譯中的個別錯誤,分析了原因，，并且針對一些批評,為夏濟安進行了辯護,對夏的翻譯做出公正的評價。 本文認為,夏濟安的散文翻譯自然、優(yōu)雅,毫無翻譯痕跡,小拘泥于原文形式和語言,他的“不忠實”恰體現(xiàn)了他靈活的語言運用和對原文精神的把握。他的時代雖然已經(jīng)過去,但他的譯文仍然是我們學(xué)習的典范。 要學(xué)習翻譯,最好的方法莫過于研讀名家譯作；要推動翻譯學(xué)科的建設(shè),翻譯家研究也是重要的一環(huán)。論文的意義在于通過對夏濟安散文翻譯的研究,引起翻譯學(xué)習者對夏濟安譯文的興趣,并從他的翻譯技巧中拾得一二；同時為翻譯家研究,為完整的翻譯學(xué)科研究盡微薄之力。
[Abstract]:Xia Ji'an is a famous literary critic and a first-rate translator. He was a master of American literature and translated American prose. His translation is simple, beautiful, elegant, once popular in Hong Kong and Taiwan, its famous, many people can speak into recitation, but in the mainland few people read and study. Taking Xia Ji'an 's selected Reading of famous Chinese Prose as the research object, this paper analyzes the main translation methods of Xia Ji'an from the aspects of pronunciation, vocabulary, syntax, rhetoric and imagery. And compared with the individual fragments translated by Liu Rongyue, Xu Chi and Gao Jian. Then, from the historical point of view, this paper analyzes the causes of Xia Ji'an 's translation style by using relevant documents, and concludes that Xia Ji'an 's translation style is his life experience, character, literary accomplishment, literary style and translation style during the Republic of China, as well as his politics. The comprehensive reflection of geographical environment, at the same time has its uniqueness. The thesis points out the individual errors in Xia Ji'an 's translation, analyzes the reasons, and defends Xia Ji'an in the light of some criticisms, and makes a fair evaluation of Xia's translation. This paper argues that Xia Ji'an 's prose translation is natural, elegant, without any trace of translation, and is limited to the form and language of the original text. His "unfaithfulness" embodies his flexible use of language and his grasp of the spirit of the original text. Although his time is over, his translation is still a model for us to learn. The best way to learn translation is to study famous translation, and to promote the construction of translation, translator research is also an important part. The significance of this thesis is to arouse the translation learners' interest in Xia Ji'an 's translation through the study of Xia Ji'an 's prose translation, and to pick up one or two from his translation skills. At the same time, it is a modest contribution to the study of translators and to the study of the whole subject of translation.
