【摘要】： 作為一位享譽(yù)世界的中國作家，老舍是二十世紀(jì)中國現(xiàn)代文學(xué)的杰出代表。幽默的諷刺、生動(dòng)的描寫和濃郁的地方色彩使老舍作品膾炙人口，并被翻譯成24種語言，僅《駱駝祥子》一書便有16種語言的譯本。由于老舍在中國文學(xué)史上的特殊地位，對其人和作品的研究方興未艾；相對而言，對其作品譯作的研究則略顯薄弱。本文以奈達(dá)的翻譯理論為依據(jù)，對《駱駝祥子》的施曉菁譯本進(jìn)行了評析。一方面，用奈達(dá)譯論對施譯本進(jìn)行比較全面的評析，從而分析譯者的翻譯策略；另一方面，也通過施譯本對奈達(dá)譯論的有效性進(jìn)行一定程度的檢驗(yàn)。希望籍此在老舍作品譯作的研究領(lǐng)域盡一份薄力，并為翻譯具有濃郁地方色彩的文學(xué)作品提供借鑒。 奈達(dá)的翻譯理論總體而言可以分為語言學(xué)相關(guān)理論和文化相關(guān)理論。本文從奈達(dá)對翻譯的兩個(gè)定義出發(fā)，分別從語言學(xué)和文化兩個(gè)角度對《駱駝祥子》施譯本進(jìn)行評析。論文共分為五章： 第一章從翻譯的過程引出奈達(dá)從語言學(xué)角度和文化角度對翻譯所作的兩個(gè)定義。通過這兩個(gè)定義，分別概述了奈達(dá)在語言學(xué)方面和文化方面進(jìn)行的翻譯研究。 第二章對老舍的生平、作品及其英譯進(jìn)行了簡要的介紹，并總體概括了《駱駝祥子》施譯本的翻譯策略與得失。 第三章從語言學(xué)角度出發(fā)對《駱駝祥子》施譯本進(jìn)行評析。在語言研究中，意義具有最重要的地位；離開了意義，翻譯也就不能稱之為翻譯。而意義又大致可分為指示意義和聯(lián)想意義，對這兩種意義應(yīng)采取不同的翻譯策略。其次，風(fēng)格是語言不可分割的一部分。由于語言的差異性，譯作的風(fēng)格不可能與原作完全對等，但應(yīng)在最大程度上追求對等。施譯本在意義和風(fēng)格的傳遞方面與奈達(dá)理論不謀而合。 第四章從文化角度對譯本進(jìn)行評析。由于漢英兩種文化的極大差異，文化成分的翻譯是漢譯英的最大難點(diǎn)，過載翻譯、欠額翻譯和誤譯往往在這個(gè)環(huán)節(jié)產(chǎn)生。施譯本正是由于對文化成分的把握有所欠缺，才出現(xiàn)了一些問題。 第五章為結(jié)論部分。首先運(yùn)用奈達(dá)理論對施譯本的優(yōu)缺點(diǎn)進(jìn)行了總結(jié)，對其翻譯策略進(jìn)行了概括，指出不同的翻譯策略適用于不同的情況，只有具體情況具體分析才能產(chǎn)生好的譯文。其次對奈達(dá)譯論在翻譯具有濃郁地方色彩的文學(xué)作品時(shí)的適用性進(jìn)行了分析，指出奈達(dá)譯論的優(yōu)點(diǎn)及其存在的不足之處，特別是在“讀者反應(yīng)”方面的欠缺。 通過分析，本文得出如下結(jié)論：1、施曉菁譯《駱駝祥子》是一個(gè)比較成功的譯本。從語言角度講，譯本采用了意義第一、風(fēng)格第二的翻譯策略，從而比較忠實(shí)地傳遞了原文中的意義和風(fēng)格。從文化角度講，，譯本在強(qiáng)調(diào)可讀性的同時(shí)盡可能保留原文中的文化因素，對傳播中華民族文化和豐富世界文化遺產(chǎn)作出了貢獻(xiàn)。2、奈達(dá)理論盡管有其不足之處，但其從語言和文化兩個(gè)角度對翻譯的界定對于翻譯具有濃郁地方色彩的文學(xué)作品具有相當(dāng)大的指導(dǎo)作用。但奈達(dá)理論并不是萬能的，它所提供的應(yīng)該說是指導(dǎo)原則；在涉及具體翻譯策略時(shí)，可以兼收并蓄，借鑒霍恩比提出的“綜合法”思路進(jìn)行具體操作。
[Abstract]:As a famous Chinese writer , Lao She is the outstanding representative of modern Chinese literature in the 20th century . The humorous irony , vivid description and strong local color make Lao She ' s works well - known and translated into 24 languages . Nida ' s translation theory can be divided into linguistic theory and culture - related theory . The first chapter introduces Nida ' s two definitions of translation from linguistic perspective and cultural angle from the process of translation . Through these two definitions , we give an overview of Nida ' s translation studies in linguistics and culture , respectively . In the second chapter , the author briefly introduces the life of Lao She , his works and their English translation , and generally summarizes the translation strategies and gains of the translation . In the third chapter , the author makes a comment on the translation of Xiangzi Xiangzi from the perspective of linguistics . In the study of language , meaning has the most important position , and it can not be referred to as translation in the context of language study . The fourth chapter analyzes the translation from the angle of culture . Because of the great difference between Chinese and English cultures , the translation of cultural components is the most difficult problem in Chinese translation . The fifth chapter summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of Nida ' s translation strategies , summarizes the translation strategies , points out that different translation strategies are applicable to different situations , and the applicability of Nida ' s translation theory in translation of literary works with strong local color is analyzed , and the advantages and disadvantages of Nida ' s translation theory are pointed out , especially in the readers ' response . Based on the analysis , this paper draws the following conclusions : 1 . It is a relatively successful translation of Shi Xiaojing ' s translation strategy . From the point of view of culture , this paper introduces the meaning and style of the original text . But it is not omnipotent . But Nida ' s theory is not universal , it should be said to be the guiding principle .
