文章摘要：本文旨在研究《愛丁堡評論》自創(chuàng)刊伊始就帶有的反浪漫主義傾向,分析這種文學價值取向背后的政治涵義.本文從文化研究視角切入英國文學研究,指出以《愛丁堡評論》為代表的文學期刊如何參與到19世紀初期英國資產階級和貴族階層文化領導權的斗爭之中,其中的反浪漫主義取向在一定程度上操縱了19世紀前期英國的主流文學評論話語,按照資產階級興味在審美意識形態(tài)上塑造了英國年輕一代的文化價值觀.本文關注文學期刊在社會政治和歷史進程中所起的重要作用,對于從文化角度拓展英國文學研究具有一定的參考意義.

Abstr：This paper tries to address the innate anti-Romantic impulse of Edinburgh Review, reaching out for the political implications hidden behind the literary taste and values. Studying English literature from the perspective of Cultural Studies, it points out that Edinburgh Review, along with other literary journals, took part in the battle for cultural hegemony between bourgeoisie and aristocracy. Edinburgh Review manipulated the mainstream literary discourse in the early years of the 19^th century in Britain. With the aesthetic ideology of the bourgeoisie in vision, it helped to shape the cultural values for the younger generations in Britain. This paper investigates the important role that literary journals play in the course of politics and history, shedding some light on the study of English literature from the angle of Cultural Studies.
