近年來,語言景觀成為社會語言學和應用語言學研究的熱點話題。一些國外學者在語言景觀領域已經(jīng)取得了相當豐碩的成果。在中國,關(guān)于語言景觀的研究多集中在公示語上。隨著全球化的發(fā)展和中國對外開放程度的提高,公示語作為城市面貌和國際形象的重要體現(xiàn),在對外交往中起著重要作用。因此,越來越多的學者和翻譯研究者開始關(guān)注英漢公示語。然而,國內(nèi)的大部分研究只是集中于公示語翻譯本身,將公示語和城市形象建構(gòu)聯(lián)系起來的研究相對較少。基于此,本文從英漢公示語的視角出發(fā),探討語言景觀對城市形象建構(gòu)的影響,并嘗試提出有利于語言景觀和城市形象建構(gòu)的策略。本文首先采用文獻研究法,對國內(nèi)外相關(guān)研究進行梳理。其次利用田野調(diào)查法對北京、天津、上海的機場、高鐵站和一些旅游景點的英漢公示語做了實地調(diào)查,并且利用收集到的684條英漢公示語建立了數(shù)據(jù)庫。最后通過歸納分析收集到的數(shù)據(jù),找出公示語翻譯中存在的錯誤,并據(jù)此分析公示語對語言景觀的影響,進而分析語言景觀對城市形象建構(gòu)的影響。研究發(fā)現(xiàn),公示語影響語言景觀的國際化程度和民族文化傳播。對于機場和高鐵站這樣國際化程度較高的場所,公示語的譯文與目標語國家的表達不一致,會降低其國際服務水平,從...
