哈利波特系列電影對白的漢英銜接對比

【摘要】:7接是一個語義概念,是構(gòu)成語篇的重要條件之一。各種銜接手段的有效使用為語篇構(gòu)成一個整體提供了保障。Halliday和Hasan在他們的著作《英語的銜接》(Cohesion in English)中將銜接定義為形成語篇的意義關(guān)系,并將銜接手段分為語法銜接和詞匯銜接,其中語法銜接包括指稱、替代、省略、連接。 本文以Halliday和Hasan的銜接理論為理論依據(jù),對哈利波特系列電影對白的漢英銜接手段進(jìn)行了全面的對比,旨在分析造成電影對白漢英銜接手段的原因,并得出漢英銜接的翻譯策略。通過漢英銜接的對比分析,有助于更好地進(jìn)行英漢互譯和跨文化交際。本文首先對漢英電影對白的五種銜接手段進(jìn)行對比,通過對漢英電影語料中出現(xiàn)的銜接手段的數(shù)量的全面對比分析和大量的舉例分析,找出他們的相同點(diǎn)和差異所在。通過銜接手段的對比,進(jìn)一步對造成漢英銜接手段差異的原因進(jìn)行探討。并得出本文與以往對漢英銜接手段的研究之間的不同之處,最后探討了漢英銜接手段的翻譯策略,歸納出了省略、轉(zhuǎn)換、補(bǔ)譯和語序變化這四種英漢翻譯中處理銜接手段的方法。 本文一共分為六章。第一章是引言部分,主要介紹了研究對象、研究目的、意義以及方法。第二章是銜接理論綜述,闡述了銜接理論在語言學(xué)界的發(fā)展情況,尤其是Halliday和Hasan對銜接理論的研究成果以及銜接理論在國內(nèi)外的研究現(xiàn)狀,以及國內(nèi)對于漢英銜接手段的對比研究成果。第三章是銜接手段的對比分析。首先統(tǒng)計(jì)出哈利波特系列電影中的漢英銜接手段的數(shù)量,指出各種銜接手段的使用頻率和比例。對電影漢英銜接手段的差異進(jìn)行一個量化的分析。然后從哈利波特系列電影漢英對白中找出大量語料,對指稱、替代、省略、連接和詞匯銜接這五種銜接手段作定性的分析,找出漢英電影銜接手段的差異。第四章是解釋造成英漢銜接手段差異的根本原因,并在總結(jié)前人對于漢英銜接手段的對比基礎(chǔ)上闡述了本文與以往研究的不同之處。第五章得出四種英譯漢時銜接手段的處理方法。第六章是結(jié)語部分,總結(jié)了英漢銜接手段的異同,并指出正確處理英漢翻譯中的銜接手段有助于更好地理解原文,重構(gòu)譯文,也對英漢電影翻譯和跨文化交際起著重要的推動作用。
[Abstract]:7 / 7 is a semantic concept and one of the most important conditions for a text to be constructed. The effective use of various cohesive devices provides a guarantee for the text to form a whole. Halliday and Hasan define cohesion as the meaning relation of the text in their works cohesion in English. The cohesive devices are divided into grammatical cohesion and lexical cohesion, in which grammatical cohesion includes reference, substitution, ellipsis and conjunction. Based on Halliday's and Hasan's cohesion theory, this paper makes a comprehensive comparison between Chinese and English cohesive devices in the dialogue of the Harry Potter series, in order to analyze the causes of the Chinese-English cohesive devices in the films and draw the translation strategies of Chinese-English cohesion. The contrastive analysis of Chinese-English cohesion is helpful to better English-Chinese translation and cross-cultural communication. This paper first compares the five cohesive devices in Chinese and English films, and finds out their similarities and differences through a comprehensive comparative analysis of the number of cohesive devices in the Chinese and English film materials and a large number of examples. Through the comparison of cohesive devices, the causes of the differences between Chinese and English cohesive devices are discussed. The differences between this thesis and previous studies on Chinese and English cohesive devices are obtained. Finally, the translation strategies of Chinese and English cohesive devices are discussed, and the ellipsis and conversion are concluded. Complementary translation and word order change are four methods of dealing with cohesive devices in English-Chinese translation. This paper is divided into six chapters. The first chapter is the introduction part, mainly introduces the research object, the research goal, the significance and the method. The second chapter is a summary of cohesion theory, which describes the development of cohesion theory in the linguistic field, especially Halliday and Hasan's research results on cohesion theory and the current situation of cohesion theory research at home and abroad. And domestic contrastive research on Chinese and English cohesive devices. The third chapter is the contrastive analysis of cohesive devices. Firstly, the number of Chinese and English cohesive devices in the Harry Potter films is counted, and the frequency and proportion of the cohesive devices are pointed out. This paper makes a quantitative analysis of the differences between Chinese and English cohesive devices in movies. Then we find out a lot of data from the Chinese-English dialogue of the Harry Potter series, and make a qualitative analysis of the five cohesive devices of reference, substitution, ellipsis, connection and lexical cohesion, and find out the differences of the cohesive devices between Chinese and English films. The fourth chapter explains the fundamental reasons for the differences between English and Chinese cohesive devices, and expounds the differences between this paper and previous studies on the basis of summing up the contrast between Chinese and English cohesive devices. In chapter 5, four methods of dealing with English-Chinese cohesive devices are obtained. Chapter six is the conclusion, which summarizes the similarities and differences between English and Chinese cohesive devices, and points out that the correct handling of cohesive devices in English and Chinese translation is helpful to better understand the original text and reconstruct the translation. It also plays an important role in English-Chinese film translation and cross-cultural communication.
