語境順應(yīng)視角下葉芝詩歌中模糊語言的翻譯

【摘要】:威廉·巴特勒·葉芝(William Butler Yeats,1865 1939)是愛爾蘭有史以來最偉大的詩人,也是20世紀(jì)英語詩壇的一棵奇葩。葉芝一生創(chuàng)作不輟,其詩以愛爾蘭的民族傳統(tǒng)和現(xiàn)實(shí)生活為主題,不斷吸收民間和國外的優(yōu)秀詩藝,幾經(jīng)變革,最終以理性和感性的高度融合,象征手法和寫實(shí)手法的巧妙結(jié)合,,寫出了“始終富于靈感”的詩歌,以及出色的文論和幾十出詩劇,成為影響國內(nèi)外的一代宗師。 葉芝對(duì)各種語言的現(xiàn)代詩歌產(chǎn)生了巨大的影響。在西方,葉芝研究已成了一門學(xué)問,有關(guān)他的學(xué)術(shù)著作數(shù)不勝數(shù)。而在中國,葉芝也對(duì)一部分詩人(如四十年代的九葉詩人)產(chǎn)生過影響。至今,葉芝作品的多種中譯本也相繼出現(xiàn),葉芝的詩作正在得到更多中國讀者的喜愛。由此可見,葉芝的作品是具有很大的研究價(jià)值的。 本論文旨在以語境順應(yīng)論為理論基礎(chǔ),以葉芝各個(gè)時(shí)期的代表作為語料,通過對(duì)比分析傅浩,袁可嘉兩位大師的中文版本,對(duì)葉芝詩歌中的模糊語言(主要是模糊詞匯和模糊意象)進(jìn)行分類并探討。 研究發(fā)現(xiàn),葉芝詩歌中的模糊語言主要分為兩大類:模糊詞匯和模糊意象。通過對(duì)兩種譯文及翻譯方法的分析,發(fā)現(xiàn)語境順應(yīng)論能夠?yàn)槟:Z言翻譯過程中的語言選擇提供有力的理論依據(jù)。在翻譯葉芝詩歌中的模糊語言時(shí),譯者要在正確理解原文的基礎(chǔ)上,盡量保留原文特色,一旦源語與目標(biāo)語發(fā)生語境沖突時(shí),譯者應(yīng)該為了溝通的需要,順應(yīng)目標(biāo)語讀者的語境,做出正確的語言選擇。譯者只有遵從以上原則,譯文才能為譯語文化讀者所接受。
[Abstract]:William Butler Yeats (William Butler Yeatsl 1865 / 1939) is the greatest poet ever in Irish history and a wonderful work in English poetry of the 20th century. Yeats wrote all his life. His poems were based on the Irish national tradition and real life. He constantly absorbed the excellent folk and foreign poetic skills. After several changes, his poems were finally highly integrated with reason and sensibility. With the combination of symbolism and realism, he wrote "always inspired" poetry, excellent literary theory and dozens of poetic plays, and became the master of a generation of masters who influenced the world. Yeats had a great influence on modern poetry in various languages. In the West, Yeats's studies have become a subject of learning, and there are countless books about him. In China, Yeats also influenced some poets, such as the Nine-Leaf Poets in the 1940 s. So far, many Chinese versions of Yeats' works have appeared, and Yeats's poems are being loved by more and more Chinese readers. Thus, Yeats's works are of great research value. The purpose of this thesis is to use contextual adaptation theory as the theoretical basis and Yeats' representatives of various periods as the corpus to analyze the Chinese versions of Fu Hao and Yuan Kejia. This paper classifies and discusses the vague language in Yeats's poetry (mainly fuzzy words and vague images). The study shows that the vague language in Yeats's poetry is divided into two main categories: fuzzy vocabulary and vague image. Through the analysis of the two versions and the translation methods, it is found that contextual adaptation theory can provide a powerful theoretical basis for the choice of language in the process of fuzzy language translation. In translating the vague language in Yeats's poetry, the translator should keep the features of the original text on the basis of a correct understanding of the original text. Once the source language and the target language conflict in context, the translator should communicate with each other. Adapt to the context of the target language reader and make the correct language choice. Only when the translator obeys the above principles can the target text be accepted by the target cultural readers.
