基于費(fèi)爾克勞夫三維分析模型對比分析《紐約時(shí)報(bào)》與《中國日報(bào)》關(guān)于利比亞戰(zhàn)爭的報(bào)道

【摘要】:新聞的傳播在人們的日常生活中扮演著重要的角色,與傳統(tǒng)上新聞媒體所宣傳的公正、客觀的報(bào)道新聞事件不同,學(xué)者們開始意識到新聞?wù)Z篇中的語言,作為信息傳遞的載體,在向人們傳遞消息的過程中,同時(shí)也暗含的傳達(dá)出媒體對相關(guān)新聞事件的觀點(diǎn)和態(tài)度。對該領(lǐng)域的研究已引起了眾多的關(guān)注,其中,起源于批評語言學(xué)的批評話語分析被譽(yù)是為對新聞?wù)Z篇研究的一種重要分析模式,旨在探究語言及其深層隱含的權(quán)力和意識形態(tài)的關(guān)系。 利比亞戰(zhàn)爭作為2011年世界上的熱點(diǎn)問題,一直備受各國矚目。由于政治立場的不同,美國和中國對于利比亞問題的意見一直存在著一定分歧。《紐約時(shí)報(bào)》和《中國日報(bào)》作為美國和中國國內(nèi)的重要新聞媒體,其報(bào)道的態(tài)勢和觀點(diǎn)在一定程度上能夠代表兩國媒體對該事件的思想意識和價(jià)值取向。 費(fèi)爾克勞夫的三維分析模型從辯證、建構(gòu)的語言觀出發(fā),為從批評語篇分析的視角研究新聞?wù)Z篇提供了一個(gè)系統(tǒng)完善的分析方法。本研究將基于費(fèi)氏三維度分析模型作為理論框架,以韓禮德系統(tǒng)功能語法的概念功能、人際功能和語篇功能作為分析工具,從《紐約時(shí)報(bào)》和《中國日報(bào)》對利比亞戰(zhàn)爭的報(bào)道中選出20篇具有代表性并能進(jìn)行對比的新聞報(bào)道,分別從文本、話語實(shí)踐和社會實(shí)踐三個(gè)層面進(jìn)行批評對比分析。在文本階段,主要通過對概念功能的及物性和詞匯選擇,人際功能的情態(tài)以及語篇功能的主位選擇四個(gè)方面進(jìn)行具體的語言描述的分析;在話語實(shí)踐階段,從信息來源和轉(zhuǎn)述方式兩個(gè)方面對新聞?wù)Z篇的生成和理解進(jìn)行闡釋;在社會實(shí)踐階段,從兩個(gè)媒體的機(jī)構(gòu)背景以及利比亞戰(zhàn)爭的國際社會背景方面進(jìn)行解釋,進(jìn)而揭示語言與意識形態(tài)、權(quán)利之間的深層關(guān)系,從而探討媒體如何將不同的政治立場與社會因素滲透到新聞報(bào)道的語篇中,從語言研究的角度使人們更清楚的理解新聞?wù)Z篇背后隱藏的話語權(quán)力和意識形態(tài)。 研究表明,《紐約時(shí)報(bào)》與《中國日報(bào)》對利比亞戰(zhàn)爭的報(bào)道確實(shí)存在著一定的不同,《紐約時(shí)報(bào)》的立場站在以美國、法國為首的北約一方,在利比亞國內(nèi)傾向于支持利比亞反對派。而《中國日報(bào)》則不太贊同北約對利比亞的軍事打擊,在利比亞國內(nèi)保持一定的中立態(tài)度,更多的是對飽受戰(zhàn)爭之苦的利比亞政府和人民的同情。事實(shí)上,兩國媒體對利比亞戰(zhàn)爭各方態(tài)度的不同主要是由美國和中國兩國政府的不同政治立場所決定的。受國家權(quán)力控制和影響的新聞媒體在通過語言報(bào)道和傳遞消息的時(shí)候,會有意識的強(qiáng)調(diào)某些內(nèi)容,旨在塑造受眾的思想意識形態(tài)。所以讀者在閱讀新聞的時(shí)候,應(yīng)提高自身的甄別力和批評性思考的能力,提高對語言所暗含意識形態(tài)的敏感程度。
[Abstract]:The dissemination of news plays an important role in people's daily life. Different from the impartial and objective reporting of news events, scholars begin to realize the language in news discourse as a carrier of information transmission.In the process of transmitting information to people, it also conveys the media's view and attitude to the related news events.The research in this field has attracted much attention, among which critical discourse analysis, which originated from critical linguistics, is regarded as an important analytical model for the study of news discourses.The purpose is to explore the relationship between language and its deep implication of power and ideology.Libya War as a hot issue in the world in 2011, has been the focus of attention all over the world.Because of different political positions, the United States and China have always had different views on the Libyan issue. The New York Times and the China Daily are important news media in the United States and China.The situation and viewpoint of the report can represent the ideology and value orientation of the two countries' media to some extent.From the perspective of dialectical and constructive language, Faircroft's three-dimensional analysis model provides a systematic and perfect analytical method for the study of news discourse from the perspective of critical discourse analysis.In this study, the conceptual function, interpersonal function and textual function of Halliday's systemic functional grammar are taken as the theoretical framework based on Fay's three-dimension analysis model.From the New York Times and China Daily, 20 representative and contrasting news reports on the Libya War were selected and analyzed respectively from three aspects: text, discourse practice and social practice.In the text stage, we analyze the specific language description from four aspects: conceptual function, transitivity and lexical choice, modality of interpersonal function and thematic choice of discourse function.It explains the generation and understanding of news discourse from two aspects of information sources and reporting methods, and explains the institutional background of the two media and the international social background of the Libyan war in the stage of social practice.Furthermore, it reveals the deep relationship between language, ideology and rights, and probes into how the media permeate different political positions and social factors into the discourse of news reports.From the perspective of language research, people can understand the discourse power and ideology behind news discourse more clearly.The study shows that the New York Times and the China Daily do have certain differences in the coverage of the war in Libya. The New York Times stands on the NATO side led by the United States and France.In Libya there is a tendency to support the Libyan opposition.The China Daily, on the other hand, disagrees with NATO's military strike against Libya, maintains a certain neutrality in Libya, and is more sympathetic to the Libyan government and people who have suffered from the war.In fact, the differences between the two countries' media about the different sides of the war in Libya are mainly determined by the different political positions of the United States and the Chinese governments.The news media controlled and influenced by the state power will consciously emphasize some contents in order to shape the ideology of the audience when they report and transmit information in language.Therefore, when reading news, readers should improve their ability of discrimination and critical thinking, and enhance their sensitivity to the ideology implied by language.
