語篇銜接理論指導下的學術文本漢譯

  隨著篇章語言學的發(fā)展,段落和語篇已日益成為可供接受的翻譯單位。功能語言學家韓禮德和哈桑提出語篇銜接理論,將銜接手段分為照應、替代、省略、連接和詞匯銜接,該理論注重源文本和目標文本在銜接和連貫上的對等,從而避免機械式翻譯。這完全符合學術文本翻譯的首要原則,即準確地傳達原文的信息。同時銜接理論分類清晰,實用性強,因此有助于指導學術文本翻譯。本文以韓禮德和哈桑提出的銜接理論為基礎,結合英漢兩種語言在銜接手段上的差異,以學術文本——《健康與疾病的生物心理社會模型——哲學與科學新發(fā)展》(節(jié)選)為材料,分析這五種銜接類型及其在翻譯實踐中的具體操作模式,以期實現(xiàn)譯文的通順連貫,而連貫正是銜接的目的。因此,將這些銜接手段應用于翻譯過程具有重大實踐意義。
