基于CBI教學(xué)理念的大學(xué)英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作教學(xué)研究

【摘要】:英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作能力是英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)者綜合英語(yǔ)能力的一個(gè)重要組成部分,同時(shí),英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作又是英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)和教學(xué)的難點(diǎn)。由于傳統(tǒng)的寫(xiě)作教學(xué)方法過(guò)于重視語(yǔ)言形式,而忽視寫(xiě)作內(nèi)容,這使得英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作教學(xué)略顯單調(diào),導(dǎo)致學(xué)生對(duì)英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作興趣不高,英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作能力得不到提高。如何改進(jìn)英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作教學(xué)方式,激發(fā)學(xué)生的英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作興趣,提高學(xué)生的英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作水平,值得廣大教育工作者深入探討。二十世紀(jì)八十年代以來(lái),基于CBI教學(xué)理念(以?xún)?nèi)容為依托的教學(xué)理念)的教學(xué)法獲得廣泛關(guān)注。研究表明,基于CBI教學(xué)理念的教學(xué)法是教授二語(yǔ)或外語(yǔ)的一種有效方式。它主張把內(nèi)容學(xué)習(xí)與語(yǔ)言學(xué)習(xí)結(jié)合起來(lái),通過(guò)有意義的內(nèi)容輸入,學(xué)生不僅能發(fā)展語(yǔ)言技能,而且可以學(xué)得新知識(shí)。在國(guó)內(nèi),基于CBI教學(xué)理念的教學(xué)法已被運(yùn)用到某些高中英語(yǔ)課堂并取得成效,然而目前這一理念極少應(yīng)用到大學(xué)英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作教學(xué)中。本文把CBI教學(xué)理念應(yīng)用到大學(xué)英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作教學(xué),探討CBI理念指導(dǎo)下的寫(xiě)作教學(xué)法是否比傳統(tǒng)的寫(xiě)作教學(xué)法更能激發(fā)學(xué)生的寫(xiě)作興趣,提高他們的寫(xiě)作水平。本研究采用寫(xiě)作測(cè)試、問(wèn)卷調(diào)查和訪談等方法,在華北電力大學(xué)科技學(xué)院2015級(jí)大一年級(jí)大學(xué)英語(yǔ)8班(控制班)和15班(實(shí)驗(yàn)班)進(jìn)行了為期20周的實(shí)驗(yàn)。實(shí)驗(yàn)初期,作者通過(guò)寫(xiě)作測(cè)試和問(wèn)卷調(diào)查,發(fā)現(xiàn)實(shí)驗(yàn)前兩個(gè)班學(xué)生的英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作學(xué)習(xí)情況和英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作水平?jīng)]有明顯差異。實(shí)驗(yàn)后期,兩個(gè)班接受同樣的寫(xiě)作后測(cè),考察學(xué)生的英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作水平變化情況。并且作者對(duì)實(shí)驗(yàn)班進(jìn)行訪談和后測(cè)問(wèn)卷調(diào)查,觀察學(xué)生寫(xiě)作興趣的變化。寫(xiě)作測(cè)試數(shù)據(jù)采用SPSS 17.0軟件來(lái)處理,通過(guò)對(duì)以上三類(lèi)實(shí)驗(yàn)數(shù)據(jù)的分析和討論,結(jié)果表明,基于CBI教學(xué)理念的寫(xiě)作教學(xué)法能激發(fā)學(xué)生的寫(xiě)作興趣,而且能更有效地幫助學(xué)生提高英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作水平。本文旨在彌補(bǔ)當(dāng)前大學(xué)英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作教學(xué)的一些不足,為大學(xué)英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作教學(xué)提供新思路,發(fā)展大學(xué)英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作教學(xué)研究。期望英語(yǔ)教師更多重視寫(xiě)作內(nèi)容,在教學(xué)過(guò)程中結(jié)合學(xué)生的興趣進(jìn)行英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作教學(xué),從而提高學(xué)生的英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作水平和能力。
[Abstract]:English writing ability is an important part of English learners' comprehensive English ability. At the same time, English writing is a difficult point in English learning and teaching. Because the traditional writing teaching method pays too much attention to the form of language and neglects the content of writing, it makes the teaching of English writing a little monotonous, which leads to the students' low interest in English writing and the lack of improvement of their English writing ability. How to improve the teaching methods of English writing, stimulate students' interest in English writing and improve students' English writing level is worthy of further discussion by educators. Since 1980's, the teaching method based on CBI teaching concept (content based teaching idea) has gained wide attention. The research shows that the teaching method based on CBI is an effective way to teach a second language or a foreign language. It advocates the combination of content learning and language learning. Through meaningful content input, students can not only develop language skills, but also acquire new knowledge. In China, the teaching method based on CBI teaching concept has been applied to some high school English classes and achieved good results. However, at present, this concept is rarely applied to the teaching of college English writing. This paper applies the teaching idea of CBI to the teaching of college English writing, and discusses whether the teaching method under the guidance of CBI can arouse the students' interest in writing and improve their writing ability. In this study, writing tests, questionnaires and interviews were conducted for 20 weeks in Class 8 (Control Class) and Class 15 (Experimental Class) in Grade 2015 of the College of Science and Technology of North China Electric Power University. At the beginning of the experiment, through writing tests and questionnaires, the author found that there was no significant difference between the two classes' English writing learning and English writing level. In the later stage of the experiment, the two classes received the same post-writing test to investigate the changes of students' English writing level. The author also conducted interviews and post-test questionnaires in the experimental class to observe the change of students' writing interest. The writing test data are processed by SPSS 17.0 software. Through the analysis and discussion of the above three kinds of experimental data, the results show that the writing teaching method based on the CBI teaching idea can stimulate the students' writing interest. Moreover, it can help students improve their English writing ability more effectively. The purpose of this paper is to make up for some deficiencies in the current teaching of college English writing, to provide new ideas for the teaching of college English writing, and to develop the research on the teaching of college English writing. It is expected that English teachers will pay more attention to the content of English writing and combine the interest of students in the teaching process so as to improve the students' English writing level and ability.
